Ezri Konsa believes there are "no excuses" for Arsenal's performance in their uninspiring defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
The Gunners were thrashed 3-0 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium, with Pascal Gross and Charalampos Koustoulas scoring stunning strikes before Chema Andres' towering header in the second half.
It marked Arsenal’s biggest league defeat in a season where they were the reigning top-flight champions since October 1989, a 3-0 loss at Everton.
Arsenal also suffered their biggest Premier League defeat since May 2023, which was also against Brighton (3-0 at Emirates Stadium).
Mikel Arteta's side had won each of their previous eight competitive matches in 2026-27, as well as nine Premier League games going back to last season.
Arsenal's trip to Brighton was the last of their four-match away run before the international break, but Konsa refused to use their busy schedule as an excuse.
"Four games away from home, we managed to win three of them. There are no excuses," said Konsa.
"We just weren't good enough. That's it. There's nothing much more I can say. We'll go away as individuals, and I'm sure with the staff we’ll go away and look at what we can do better.
"We set ourselves some high standards, and it's important that we don't let those standards go, like we did. These are things we need to learn from very quickly.
"We go into the break now, and it's time for us to reflect as individuals, collectively, and when we do come back, we make sure we correct things that we didn't do right.
"We obviously wanted to keep the momentum going, which we were doing. Like I said, we know ourselves as players that wasn't good enough. We have to work on what went wrong."

artea has to have more faith on lewis Kelly his absence was felt in the game gumarae could not keep pace with the brighton players, lewis Kelly has proven himself there is no reason for arteta to still be thinking he still learning the ropes because he did not cost arsenal 100 million pounds

Arsenal now have weaker attacking players than last season. Everyone new we needed an update at L/W, we in my opinion have downgraded. Tzolis is never a winger, he always moves directly inside, wingers attack the F/B and create. He is less effective than Trossaud, Martinelli was never a winger he should have been played up top, which was his natural position prior to joining us. Gyrolokes has been easily found out by coaches and defenders, and he was pretty average last season and now he’s atrocious (sell ASAP), and Havertz isn’t a natural striker. We lack presence and finishing ability up top. We strengthened our defence and midfield which were our real strengths to start with. We spent approximately £70ml net in the summer, after 3 years of record breaking revenue (£138ml)from the Champions League alone. Arteta has got to strengthen our attacking areas at L/W especially plus up top and offload Gyrolokes who allegedly wants out (GREAT), we are definitely getting stronger defensively and in midfield, but weaker offensively. Aubamayang was the last natural quality striker we had.

Every team must be beaten in one stage or another, Arsenal loosing away from home is not a curse or a dip in form but the sweet reality of the game no one can escape, rival fans will keep jubilating and writing jargons but it's normal, and also a positive time to loose points.

Feel the hurt after that lacklustre performance. Take it on the chin and move on, with the determination to shut up our critics and haters.

Arsenal were well below their usual standards, they were poor in their passing, tackling, intensity and defensively they looked slow and unbalanced, Raya’s distribution was well below expectation. Nobody looked on their game. I personally would sooner prefer all X1 playing below standard than 3 or 4 in one game. We take it on the chin, feel the hurt and move on and perform at our best in our future games. We’ve had a kick up the arse but it’s a long season. We move on!!!!

Arteta is saying something different and you're something different. The fact is that every team will get beaten, move on.
