Real Madrid supporters were left fuming by their side's performance as they were torn apart by rivals Atletico in their International Champions Cup match in New York on Friday
Madrid fielded arguably their strongest team for the game, with new signings Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic involved along with the likes of Luka Modric, Isco and Sergio Ramos.
Madrid were shocking at the back, with some fans calling for the game to be stopped because they were so poor.
Although Madrid did manage to get on the scoresheet three times after the break, the final result of 7-3 was seen as a humiliation for many supporters, and some have big worries for the season ahead.
There were even calls by some fans for manager Zinedine Zidane to quit after the game.

Just a few months back, most of the RMCF fans were trolling and annoying every other guy just because their team had signed Zidane back. I tried telling them that Zidane was no Magician and what he did in 3 years was a combination of luck and CR7. They just wouldn't listen, they kept going on about 3 consecutive UCL trophies and the greatest manager ever. Well, how badly I would want to see their faces now. Zidane was just a normal manager with minimal tactical intelligence, made great by CR7. I am a Messi fan, but you can't just write of CR7, probably the only player to go head to head with Messi. Take both of them out of their respective teams, you'll know the difference. #Valverdeout #FuckZidane

It is only a one off pre season match, it does not show much of a Real Madrid team you want to see although i should hasten to say the old glory of three consecutive Champions league wins on the trot are history. If you will judge Zidane using such a benchmark then he will last only three months. Remember Zidane just inherited that magnificent team, those who joined after his appointment non made a mark meaning he's a good manager quite alright unfortunately he's not a talent spotter not does he possess the necessary qualities to groom young players. He belongs in the same pathetic league of the likes of Mourinho!

I have said time and again that Zinedine Zidane is not a good coach. Why? 1. He favors some players over others (he insists on the likes of Marcelo, Benzima, Modric, Kroos etc even if their good days are over) 2. He hates young players (Llorente, Cebalos etc) 3.He is not a transformational leader. if you want to make a change then do it, if you don't then leave it. He buys good players but on the other hand incites his old guards (Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Casemiro) against the new players like Hazard and Rodryigo. He talks nicely outside in the dressing room he is an inciter. 4. Zidane is a hater - the case if Bale 5. His tactics are questionable. To cut the long story short: a) Zidane is the problem AND must leave Madrid b) Some of the old guards including our Captain (Ramos) too must leave. They are frustrating particularly Hazard and Rodryigo because they don't want to outshined. do remember Ramos quarreling Rodryigo for celebrating when he scored against Bayern. The President must act and act now to restore order and stern action against the coach and his brigade. REAL MADRID is bigger than all of them. Hala Madrid.

I think there is a big problem with that team. The defence was porous, there was no coordination at the mid field. Passes were very poor. The attack has no bite. ,We understood the Bayern case, but after that we expect things to get better. The following player should be reexamined perhaps they should be sold or loaned out. Lucas Vasquez Kroos, Jovic, Benzema and Cajarval.

its just a pre season friendly, even though loasing to your city rivals in such a manner have no justifications. i dont blame hazard or jovic, since they have joined the club recently. our defense was very weak today. also todays formation was also bad. isco playing in the mid fiels as a LMF, he is best when played in the pivot role, Real need reinforcements in the midfield for sure. Also the main problem of last season still continues, no goal scorer. real conceded 12 goals in the last 3 matches, and score only 6.

people like modric doesn't deserve to put on that Madrid shirt again. even the so called captain Ramos, they don't have the impetus to play for Madrid anymore. as far as does guy are there starting their matches this season Madrid we not Excel this season. zidane on is own is an average coach not a world class as his playing days

Zidan must be sacked, he took the glory that was not his, he was first humble as a new coach as he took over the job, he respected the players and humble himself and that ginger the players to play with all their hearts and minds, but unfortunately it entered his head and he took the glory and started acting like he is the magician, unchangeable, untouchable and inarguably he pounced on our greatest player behind Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and started hating and taunting Bale, now Bale is ready to go, he wants only French players at real Madrid so he can groom them to take and win World cup with France, over ambitious and racist. if Fiorentino Perez does not sack Zidan, then he will frustrate real Madrid and resign.

If Real Madrid needs to keep up the high profile as always they need to sign anyhow at any cost 3 of the top players now as others like Hazard Pogba Jovic will not work. It should be either Ronaldo again, Messi or Neymar. Others cannot perform in THAT level for long. Accept it or else be ready to face humiliations like this more and more in the days to come.

first of all, this is a bad result even though it's just a friendly, I think zidane is the problem, Santiago Solari has bigger ball than him, he benched the like of Isco, Marcelo etc and he rejuvenated the team with young players which are fresh breath to the team, it is what it is, Ronaldo is no longer in Real Madrid, he covered our blushes the season b4 he left, but now Real Madrid have to wash away those other idiots, I see no reason they will sell Ronaldo and leave the others, and for that sappy courtois who told the press is now the number one and 5 goals get passed him in first half, it's a total awful performance from Real Madrid.
