Arsenal boss Unai Emery bizarrely claimed that he took Dani Ceballos off against Watford because it was too hot.
Ceballos was replaced by Joe Willock on the hour mark, with many Arsenal supporters left baffled by the decision to withdraw the Real Madrid loanee.
Matteo Guendouzi was one of the Arsenal players who struggled, but Emery backed the 20-year-old to bounce back from his mistake.
Emery told Sky Sports: 'That is experience. We have a lot of young players who need to have that moment, for example Matteo.
'He is working a lot to improve and he's going to take experience from matches like that. He can grow up from the mistakes and really learn for the next matches.'

This coach has selections problem. This is EPL and every three points count. The early part of the league is the time you consolidate your points. Points are hard to get and when the opportunity comes take and defend it. Emery is useless and an experimenting coach. He needs to coach the under 21. The fact still remains that Wenger is 101% better than this Emery of a coach. What do u expect from a coach who has an ample opportunity of clicking d top 4 & yet allow it slip through fingers. He has another chance of winning d Europa & still allow it pass him bye. Wenger that I know will never missed such opportunities. As far as am concern if Emery remains a coach in Arsenal we'll never win any trophy nor make top 4.

Emery is an average coach that should manage an average club..we will remain average if we av an average manager... he is afraid to work with big players,he want them sold ..and bring in average players he can manage.... he failed in his first big club test at PSG..and is here turning arsenal to a mediocre club of an average team. he must go now!

This Arsenal guys are playing like school boys and not like professionals!Watford dominated the play especially the second half. Arsenal didn't play to win,the players lost the game plan and the coach didn't rise up to the occasion. I am really disappointed in this squad.....Emery must go,the only one is still jobless

Now we see that Arsene Wenger was a better coach for Arsenal by recruiting young/cheap players and make them great just for the owners to sell them the next year and make profit and still reach CL year after year. I would have loved to see Wenger coach a big spending team.

I have no good words to describe this coach.....how do a normal coach substitute two creative midfielders in a game you want to win?. That really proved to me that the man doesn't know what he wants at arsenal. With his decisions, it's the reason why he failed to take PSG forward.
