On November 10, 2002, Milner came off the bench in the 13th round of the Premier League match between Leeds United and West Ham to make his Premier League debut. On December 26, 2002, Milner, who was 16 years and 356 days old, scored a goal in the match against Sunderland, setting the then record for the youngest goalscorer in the Premier League.

This is Milner's 24th season in the Premier League. Before this, Milner had made 653 appearances, scored 56 goals, and provided 87 assists. In the 2009-2010 season, Milner was named the PFA Premier League Young Player of the Year. In the 2011-2012 and 2013-2014 seasons, Milner won the Premier League title with Manchester City.
