Liverpool have had a very busy summer transfer window having welcomed a host of new faces to Anfield but there could yet be more business for the reigning champions on the final day of the window
Liverpool have splashed the cash this summer - and they might not be done there. The Reds have welcomed a whole host of new faces to Anfield across what has been an expensive window.
German midfielder Florian Wirtz and striker Hugo Ekitike are among their most lucrative signings. Defenders Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Giovanni Leoni have also completed moves to Anfield.
Goalkeepers Giorgi Mamardashvilli, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman have all also become Liverpool players. And while Liverpool look well set to potentially defend their title, more business could potentially be on the cards for the Reds on deadline day.
Alexander Isak continues to be linked with a move to Anfield despite Newcastle’s hard line stance. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi remains as a target.
Some outgoings could potentially be completed over the final few hours of the window. Take a look at a host of deals that could be signed off on deadline day at Anfield:
Alexander Isak
Starting with the most obvious, Isak has been a prime target for Liverpool all summer long. The Reds have had one bid turned down for the Swedish forward so far and are yet to return to the negotiating table.
Newcastle are determined not to sell, while Isak recently took to social media with an explosive statement demanding to move on. Whether the Magpies’ stance changes on the final day remains to be seen but Liverpool will certainly be ready to take advantage should the door open to a potential deal.
Marc Guehi
At the other end of the pitch, the Reds are also keen to add to their defensive options. Following Jarell Quansah’s move to Bayer Leverkusen, Marc Guehi has emerged as a potential replacement.
Liverpool have already tabled a couple of bids for the Crystal Palace captain. The Eagles would be open to selling - especially with less than a year remaining on Guehi’s contract - so it is now down to Liverpool to match their selling price. Should they do that, there is a very real possibility that he could appear at Anfield on the final day.
Who else do you think Liverpool should sign? Share your thoughts in the comments below
Federico Chiesa
For a large portion of the summer transfer window, it looked as though Chiesa was primed for a move back to Italy. He was strongly linked with a move to AC Milan earlier this summer.
But he now appears keen to stay at Anfield and fight for his place, albeit should a decent offer arrive for his services - and Isak comes in - then it’s tough to see Liverpool turning that down.
Konstantinos Tsimikas
One man who already looks to be on the verge of an exit is Greek defender Tsimikas. He has also fallen down the pecking order this summer with the signing of Kerkez, while Andrew Robertson is also still at Anfield.
Italian side Roma have been linked with a move for his services, with Tsimikas having flown to the Italian capital to undergo a medical with his potential employers. The defender will initially join the Serie A side on loan.
Calvin Ramsay
Speaking of full backs leaving on loan, Scottish right-back Ramsay might also be a candidate to depart. He finds himself behind Frimpong and Conor Bradley so a loan move might be for the best.
Ramsay, 22, spent last season with Wigan Athletic and then Kilmarnock so another move could be a possible option, albeit no interested clubs have been mentioned.
Harvey Elliott
Midfielder Elliott has never quite managed to establish himself as a first team option at Anfield and has been linked with a move away. Premier League rivals Tottenham were touted as potential admirers, albeit they now appear unlikely to move following their swoop for Xavi Simons.
Ironically, the Dutchman’s former club RB Leipzig have now been linked with Elliott but the Reds’ asking price could potentially be a stumbling block in any potential switch.
Jayden Danns
Danns has made nine appearances for Liverpool in all competitions so far having made his first-team debut under Jurgen Klopp. But what he needs right now is real, consistent first-team football.
He looked to be getting that last season after joining Sunderland on loan for the second-half of the campaign. But injuries prevented him from making an appearance so another loan move would certainly be useful.
Rhys Williams
Having not appeared for Liverpool since the 2020/21 season, it now appears that Williams faces little future at Anfield. He has since been sent out on five loan spells, the most recent of which coming with League Two side Morecambe.
You’d imagine if Liverpool receive either a loan or permanent bid for his services on deadline day, they’d be inclined to accept.
Kaide Gordon
One final youngster who could do with some first-team football this season is forward Gordon. The 20-year-old spent the second-half of last season with Championship side Portsmouth so another EFL loan might do him the world of good.

Federico Chiesa go to a club that can give you more time to play, seating on the bench will not do you ant good at all. Your position in Liverpool is very tough for you.
