Roma chief Ricky Massara, formerly of Milan, will be in the stands to make a personal check on Franculino tonight as the Giallorossi meet FCM in the Europa League.
For Massara, Franculino is regarded as a priority target for the January market, though he will now face competition.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says Milan are also keen as they seek a versatile attacking target.
And they could take Roma out of the running by offering Santiago Gimenez to the Giallorossi in a swap for Artem Dovbyk. Even if Dovbyk arrives, Milan would still retain interest in Franculino.
