AC Milan have been taken aback by the personal demands of Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech.
Milan and Chelsea are in talks over a deal for Ziyech ahead of the January market.
Rossonero chief Paolo Maldini is driving the move and aims to sign Ziyech outright next month.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport says the Morocco international wants a raise on his current Chelsea wages.
Ziyech earns €6m-a-year in London and is demanding €8m-a-year to join Milan.
