There has been a long history of usages of advanced tools or technologies in different indoor and outdoor sports from time to time. And in the football field, VAR (Video Assistant Referee) is now AI assisted which make the game faster and much efficient. But there are also fans believing that VAR is killing the soul of football.
So, is VAR good or bad for football? What are your thoughts?

VAR is a very useful tool in football but I think the refrees misuse it a lot. they don't seek reference in a cases and at time, they misinterpret the situation even after looking at the video. it's supposed to make the match at 90% fairly but it seems like it's doing more harm than good when it's normally not supposed to.

No offence you can use var everywhere please not England I love English football with it pace and little controversial moments that's what makes football sweet I hate scoring and celebrating even collecting a yellow card and then the goal WIll be canceled that sucks and the worst part it we all have to wait while they do their thing killing the tempo the tempo of the game

The Val is good but the way it's been used has made things worst than it were before. there are some certain penalties that have been given through val which was not supposed to be given. Even the game between Juventus 2 vs Sampdoria, despite the ref watching the replay many times he still goes ahead and award a penalties which should have stoop. i think the refs are more to blame than the Val. Val is there just to show them what happen and the final decision still rest on the refs but 80% times they have gotten it wrong. Introduction of Val and it's intention was good but the people handling it are misinterpreting it. So i will rate Val Low

VAR has the ability to improve the game, and we need to be mindful that it isnโt here to fix every single perceived issue with the implementation of the rules of the game. The VARs can only intervene on red cards, penalties, goals or mistaken identity - these are multi-million pound decisions that are being left wide open to interpretation; if governing bodies are able to add a safety net to these decisions, then what comprehensible reason is there that they should not do so?

VAR sure slows down the pace of football but it is very useful and highly recommended to EPL by me Some referees makes stupid mistakes sometimes and some just favors teams I believe VAR will diminish all that and football will become a bit more fair #BringInVAR

So a lot of the criticism we hear comes from VAR eliminating controversial discussion regarding calls made/not made during the game, such as goals not being called or penalties being given that shouldnโt have. However, any way to the make the game more fair and safe for the players is welcomed. For me itโs similar to any new rule added to the game, such as the gk not being able to pick up a back pass from a teammate. Iโm sure people thought this rule was frivolous because it makes it harder for players to get the ball to safety. But as time passed, itโs just cemented itself as a rule in football, just as VAR will become second nature and we wonโt be able to think of a time without its significance.

VAR is the only way to go, because some players have become more sophisticated in diving to be awarded penalties such players like Sala,Sterling, Lingard,Aguero,Zaha,Mane,Hazard,Morata, just to mention a few, And also the Referees are becoming more baise by awarding fake penalties and offsides to the teams they prefer. The game of football is becoming more faster and intense to where by the referee may not see the actions of players at a certain point, when they want to elude the referee. We have seen Red cards and yellow cards given to players where there was not supposed to. Come 2019/2020 season the VAR should be a must, we tired of crying foul after the matches which doesn't change the results.
