If you anyone looks at the votes, they will quickly notice that it's based on Ethnicity, religion, emotions, and culture, rather than achievements which is what is actually needed. otherwise, I don't see how someone will vote Mane over Drogba or Salah Over Eto'o. like what have they achieved over these legends, how long have they played. same thing goes for the ballon d'or. we want the ones we love to be the winner even if they didn't play, and the ones we hate to be losers even if they were best. it is therefore very okay to complain after the results, but the truth is that the winner stands and will remain in history. History goes that he won best African player award for a record 5 times, but no history will ever mention anything like the association gave him/her the award undeserved, especially one which has to do with voting.
