The controversial ruling by the Confederation of African Football, stripping Senegal of the AFCON 2025 title and awarding it to Morocco, also made waves inside the Real Madrid dressing room.
The news broke during the Champions League match against Manchester City, catching several players by surprise as it quickly spread among those on the bench.
According to reports, Brahim Díaz, the only Moroccan player involved in the tournament among Madrid’s squad, learned about the decision during the game and quietly celebrated, receiving congratulations from his teammates. Meanwhile, players still on the pitch, including Aurélien Tchouaméni, only discovered the news after the final whistle.

Why did the Referee not END the match after Sénégal players Left the pitch ?? . So why did the referee restart the match if CAF now says Senegal forfeited the finals ???.. The CAF and FIFA Presidents were all present, why did they not tell the Referee about the law if he had forgotten..??? Are they telling us they deliberately appointed an incompetent referee to officiate the finals of a major competition like the AFCON?? The ref should know such laws. His assistants should know. Those in the VAR should know but guess what they let the game play on because they thought Diaz would score the penalty and he missed.. A decision that should have been Taken on the pitch is taken in the offices two months later ????.. No one was aware of that law on that day???????? So Motsepe handed Sénégal the trophy while planning on stripping it two months later...??? CORRUPTION AT ITS PEAK..
