Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal for free at the end of the season after the club finally told him in person why he will not be offered a new contract, Sky Sports News understands.
Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season after the club told him face-to-face that they will not be renewing his contract.
Ramsey had complained in an interview with newspaper journalists last week that he had not been personally informed of Arsenal’s decision to withdraw an offer to improve his contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season.
Club executives have since explained to Ramsey that the decision was taken in the long-term interests of the club’s financial health.
Arsenal do not believe there is a market to cash in on the player in January while Ramsey himself is thought to prepare a free transfer, which would then allow him to cheque a substantial signing-on fee.
Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring his situation.
Ramsey signed for the Gunners in 2008 from Cardiff and has gone on to make over 343 appearances for the north London outfit.
The Welshman has made 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

I really don’t understand what is wrong with Arsenal Managment sometimes Ramsey is not that kind of player we should let go for now, he is still inform and is a big name as a player he is a threat to some player and team seen him in the pitch we still need even if need to beach him for a sub as Emery is doing now. This is my opinion.

Why do some players think highly of themselves? Why couldn't Ramsey bring something forward for Arsenal to consider. If a player truly likes and appreciates the club he plays for, likes and supports his teammates, then that player should initiate a proposal to stay. What will happen now is that Ramsey will either get less playing time or no playing time at all. For everyone who says Ramsey deserves better, better treatment, better contract - then he would have had other clubs offering a contract and I don't see that at the moment, and Iam not talking about clubs that are struggling- Iam talking about clubs doing well! Best of luck Ramsey! Cheers

Letting Ramsey go would be a win for Arsenal but they should get some money out of him in january. Tbh he's a very average player imo. Kinda like Jack, he doesn't really bring anything extra crazy to the table to warrant the demands he's making. At least with Ozil you get someone who can string the best passes in BPL on his day. With Ramsey you're getting a standard ball carrier who goes missing half the time or is injured... If he goes to a smaller team like West Ham he would be forgotten about entirely like Jack was....

This is a bad move by the arsenal football club we will be losing a valuable asset for the future and is not that he wasn’t willing to negotiate a deal so why wouldn’t we sign him to a long term deal

some times people don't see future. Arsenal can sign someone better and cheaper than Ramsey.

I wish Aaron Ramsy well in his future endevours, because footballers life is a merry go round romance with any club that they wish to romance or clubs that wishes to do the same with them. But sincerely speaking I'm not happy with the way Arsenal is disposing the guy after sacrifising his youthfulness and with a damaging leg break playing for the club. The club needed to show some respect in his demands because he has been a good player and a good guy off and on the pitch for Arsenal. If the club continues to show disregard to it's supposed be future legends this way infuture it might affect their fan base. Aaron will leave with his fans.

For now, I won't conclude if its a bad or good decision by the board until the final outcome becomes evident. By final outcome, I mean when he leaves, will they find a better replacement or not. Remember Alexis deal, Arsenal were better off at the end. So....fingers crossed, let's wait & see.
