Agbonlahor said he was very surprised that almost no clubs made an offer for Rashford this summer, but he and Manchester United have reached the end of their relationship and he will definitely leave.
Rashford, 28, will return to Manchester United for pre-season training this summer because Barcelona did not activate his buy-out clause. A year ago, when he was on loan at Aston Villa, Villa ultimately did not sign him permanently.
Rashford's weekly wage is as high as £325,000, and he has two years left on his contract. Last season, Barcelona bore all of this salary, and now Manchester United will be responsible for this salary expense again.
Agbonlahor believes that the high salary is a major potential reason for the lack of interested teams this summer. He said on talkSPORT: "I'm really surprised that no team has made an offer for him.
I completely don't understand the Anthony-Gordon transfer deal. In my opinion, Rashford's ability is more suitable than Gordon's.
He is 28 years old, could the problem be the salary? He still has two years left on his contract with Manchester United. If other clubs sign him and offer a four-year long contract, the salary pressure would be unbearable. The whole thing is really very strange, but any team that signs him will get a top-tier player.
And his mindset seems to have improved a lot now. Before the World Cup, he also went to Miami International for extra training. During his time at Barcelona, there were no negative reports about Rashford.
After leaving Manchester, he got rid of a lot of distractions, and his mood improved a lot. If I were him or his agent, I might consider going to other clubs overseas to avoid those things that interfere with him."
However, Agbonlahor believes that this transfer stalemate will come to a conclusion in the coming weeks and months. He went on to say: "Will this drag on until the end of August before the transfer window closes?
I'm afraid that's the only way, I don't think he will continue to play for Manchester United. On the one hand, Manchester United has signed many new players, and he is no longer in the team's tactical system.
Another important thing for players, which many people may not care about: his original jersey number was taken by Matheus Cunha. I don't think he will be willing to come back, change his number, and only serve as a substitute. I think Rashford and Manchester United's relationship has come to an end, and he will definitely leave before the transfer window closes."

If he's wise enough and still wants to continue to play football at the highest level, he should lower his wages for any team that comes for him. Else he'd remain in the periphery at Man utd.

Rashford now is a matured player we need him at all time at manu being a home boy.
When it was time to fight to stay and bring United back to the top, he silently left. You can not move other players who rejected European football to play for you just to integrate Rashford back to the team. That will damage other players. You ppl do not know how this things work psychologically. The United current board knows this and the relationship is surely over

How stupid you think there will be a club that will sign Rashford for long term with that high salary and at 28yrs getting to 29yrs within few months and with that inconsistent qualities he has. Unless its saudi arabia but i doubt no smart club in europe can sign a player with kind of rashford quality and still pay him almost €20m annual salary. It is just that the guy is not top-tier and he’s looking for lucrative salary from a top class club who even have a better starting player in his position, how only earth a club sign you for €20m salary and still as a bacup not starter. He cannot be a starter at clubs like Barcelona, Real madrid, Arsenal, Man city, Liverpool, Chelseas, Bayern, Psg, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Napoli and these are the only european club that can afford to pay him such salary, and others are not even close to pay a player €20m annualy and he’s not ready to reduce it by perhaps €9m or €10m thats why no one like him and he knows very well he is not yamal, mbaffe, kane, haaland or olise. Even yalam self is worth €16m cuz he is yet to reach that high figure. He even once stated that barca can sign but if he happened to be magician but they problem is he’s likely not cuz he don’t make an inpact when he’a needed the most during crucial matches

this is what happens when a player becomes too choosy and picky when offers come their way, lol. He did have a couple of options at first. he didn't want any overseas club but Barcelona, now Barcelona doesn't want him, sad.
