Sergio Aguero couldn't stop himself applauding Kobbie Mainoo's brilliant goal for Manchester United in Saturday's FA Cup final victory over Man City.
The City legend was covering the match on an online stream in his native Argentina and initially cut a figure of disappointment as United took a shock two-nil lead in the first half.
19-year-old Mainoo rounded off a wonderful move as he dispatched Bruno Fernandes' no-look pass first time into the bottom corner past a helpless Stefan Ortega.
His composed performance and electric ability to turn defensive situations into frightening counter-attacks was one of the main reasons United navigated their way to a 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola's side, with Aguero even applauding the teenage sensation.
The Man City legend - who is honoured with a statue outside the club's stadium - only won the FA Cup once during his glittering career in English football and was annoyed as his former team's rivals got one over them in London.
However, he showed his class and appreciation for beautiful football by giving United a lengthy round of applause on his stream as their second goal nestled in the back of the net.
The 35-year-old slumped with his head in his hands as Mainoo's goal sent United fans inside Wembley into raptures, with Aguero then clapping his hands after being impressed by the free-flowing attacking move.
Marcus Rashford kickstarted the attack with a pinpoint cross-field pass to Alejandro Garnacho, before Fernandes rolled the ball into Mainoo's path for him to dispatch elegantly.
Aguero sensed danger when Rashford's pass found Argentine star Garnacho and heaped praise on United's players, stating: 'United's goal was incredible.'
Mainoo continued to show his flair and defensive resilience throughout the rest of the game, disrupting City's usual rhythm and demonstrating his full repertoire of dribbling.
The Stockport-born talent - who has been selected for Gareth Southgate's provisional Euro 2024 squad - was later named FA Cup man of the match and soaked in celebrations with his United team-mates.
Meanwhile, fans were quick to highlight praise from Aguero, with one comment on X in reaction to his video analysis, stating: 'Bro knows it was a good goal.'
Another similarly added: 'He's applauding the whole lead up and the goal.'

For me, the boy is very good, but he will only improve when he with a genuine coach and good player around him. Example man united have Rashfold the player which suppose to complete on Golden Ball awards, Ballon D’or awards, and many more and he expected to be rated over Foden & Saka. Rashfold has everything required (skills, accuracy, shooting, passing, ball controlling, positioning and even his height) to win everything... but up-2-date Mmmh...

The best recognized a genius. Mainoo roasted KDB and the almighty Rodri in the midfield and later WALKED on Walker.
