Aguero & Ramos lead Madrid & City combined XI as Blancos dominate defensive line

Real Madrid and Manchester City do battle in the Champions League on Wednesday as Guardiola will face his eternal enemy Real Madrid.

Ahead of the crucial match between Real Madrid and Man City, we have chosen a combined XI of these two teams, made up of players who are available now.

Goalkeeper: Courtois

Despite the 0-1 loss against Levante last weekend, Courtois has a better recent form than Ederson. The Belgian also won La Liga POTM for January.

Defenders: F. Mendy, Varane, Ramos and Walker

With Ferland Mendy already taking over from the brilliant Marcelo, Benjamin Mendy still has a lot of ground to make up after his injury woes. Zinchenko also needs more playing time.

In Sergio Ramos, Eder Militao and Raphael Varane, Real Madrid cover all the major assets you could want in a centre back. Aymeric Laporte has quickly become the perfect man for the role at City, but he's health condition is under consideration today, there's still a little bit doubt if he'll start tonight.

Kyle Walker is the epitome of an attacking full-back – fast, strong and aggressive. He's more versatile than Carvajal - such as, goalkeeper. Just kidding, but Walker can really play as a centre back as well. The only problem is that Walker relies on his pace too much on the defensive side.

Central Midfielders: Casemiro and De Bruyne

Casemiro is thought by most good judges to be the best defensive midfielder on the planet, although his countryman Fernandinho pushed him close until switching to centre back. Rodri has impressed at City, but his best is still to come.

The competition of the other spot is fierce: Kroos, Modric, Valverde, David Silva... But this season, De Bruyne is impressive, as always.

Wingers: Sterling and Mahrez

Sterling deserves the spot. Since Hazard has suffered a serious injury last weekend (Wish him to get well soon!), There's no argument that Sterling should be at the left flank of this squad. His progress this season can be seen not only from the chart. 

On the right flank, Real Madrid have tried multiple players this season, and nobody has a better form than Mahrez, even Bernardo Silva.
