Chelsea moved level on points with Ajax in Champions League Group H after a late show from substitutes Christian Pulisic and Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgium striker thumped home Pulisic's low cross with just four minutes remaining at Johan Cruijff Arena to earn the Blues back-to-back way wins in the competition.
Batshuayi had earlier wasted a gilt-edged chance for Frank Lampard's side in a game that had been struggling to get going.
Ajax will feel aggrieved not to have taken at least a point, though, with Quincy Promes on the wrong end of the narrowest of offside calls and Edson Alvarez hitting the post in the second half.

Pulisic has exceptional quality and it's high time Lampard realize that because from my own point of view that guy is too good to be a bench warmer, he's replicate of Eden Hazard. Beside, Frank sometimes need to rotate the players so as to keep them happy and always fit. For example, Giroud is a good player to us, sometimes he may not score but his impact will bring winning to the team. In a game like this he shows experience like he did against Arsenal in the UEL final last season. CHO poor display would have caused us the game today.... It shows that in a game like dis our dear coach need to mix the young with some experience players because the Chelsea young team are not exposed to UCL game unlike the Ajaxs'
