According to Saudi media outlet Shooot, Al Hilal have begun talks with Mohamed Salah for a free transfer and plan to have him replace Neymar in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

The media reported that sources from inside Al Hilal confirmed the club has started negotiations with Salah's representatives for a free transfer and has given up on signing Neymar.

Al Hilal is set to offer Salah an irresistible contract, while for Neymar, the club plans to let him leave at the end of the season as a free agent.

Salah's contract expires in June this year, and Liverpool has yet to renew it. The FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled for late June, and once Al Hilal signs Salah on a free transfer, they may need to negotiate with Liverpool to release him early, as Liverpool will not be participating in the tournament.
