Joao Felix shone with two assists to propel Al-Nassr to a 3-0 win over Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
The visitors made it four wins on the bounce thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Simakan and Kingsley Coman, moving into second, three points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
Al-Nassr started brightly, with Joao Felix forcing Juan Pablo Cozzani into an early save before Ronaldo was denied by a brilliant Mansour Camara block on the line shortly after.
Though Jorge Jesus' side continued to push, they struggled to create clear openings until the seventh minute of first-half stoppage time, when Sadio Mane turned Joao Felix's cross into an empty net. However, the Portugal international had strayed offside.
It took Al-Nassr just two minutes to break the deadlock after half-time, though, with Joao Felix squaring a low delivery into Ronaldo, who slotted into the bottom-left corner of the gaping goal.
Six minutes later, Simakan thumped a towering header into the back of the net from a Joao Felix corner to double Al-Nassr's lead, before the 26-year-old tested Cozzani with an audacious rabona shot from just inside the box.
Al-Kholood captain Hatan Bahbri was then shown a straight red card following a VAR review, having needlessly elbowed Simakan in an off-the-ball coming together.
And Al-Nassr added some late gloss to the scoreline. Coman was tripped from behind in the box by Ramzi Solan and, with Ronaldo already substituted, he picked himself up and converted from 12 yards.
Data Debrief: Joao Felix turns on the style
It was a stellar performance from Joao Felix, who was head and shoulders above everybody else on the pitch.
He created a game-high four chances to get his two assists, and also had six shots – more than anyone else on the pitch – and 14 touches in the box, including that exquisite rabona, which deserved a goal.
Al-Nassr extended their winning streak to four games, keeping consecutive clean sheets for just the second time in the Pro League this season.
