Al-Okhdood 0-2 Al Nassr: Ronaldo & Felix score in comfortable win

Cristiano Ronaldo was on target as Al-Nassr moved five points clear at the Saudi Pro League summit with a 2-0 victory over Al-Okhdood.

Joao Felix was also on target for Jorge Jesus' side, who maintained their superb recent form by claiming their 13th straight win.

Ronaldo broke the deadlock after just 15 minutes, taking Nawaf Bu Washl's pass into his stride before slotting past goalkeeper Samuel Portugal.

The visitors thought they had doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when the ball ricocheted over the line off Mohamed Simakan, but the defender was penalised for handball.

Kingsley Coman fired narrowly wide from distance and Ronaldo saw a sweeping effort denied, before Al-Nassr doubled their lead early in the second half.

Sadio Mane's deflected cross was met by Coman, whose looping header came back off the post, but Felix was on hand to volley home the rebound.

Ronaldo fired narrowly off target before he was replaced in the 81st minute, but the two-goal cushion was more than enough for Jesus' side to secure yet another three points.

Al-Nassr set a new club record of 13 straight Saudi Pro League wins. They also equalled their longest winning streak away from home in the division, having now been victorious in their last eight such matches. 

Al-Okhdood are only the second team against whom Al-Nassr have won all their first six Saudi Pro League meetings, also achieving the feat against Al-Shoalah.
