Game is over and the final score is Al-Qadsiah 2-3 Al Hilal. Here is the match report.
Comment by coach:
Al-Hilal head coach Simone Inzaghi praised his team's performance after their 3-2 victory over Al-Qadisiyah in Friday's marquee Saudi Pro League match.
The win allowed Al-Hilal to leapfrog their opponents and move to the top of the league standings.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Inzaghi said: "We secured an important victory against a strong and resilient opponent with many quality players. Al-Qadisiyah played well, and I'm delighted with this win."
He added: "We played two solid halves and managed our physical exertion well in a tough match. We were particularly strong in the second half and controlled the game."
He continued: "Some players showed signs of fatigue during the match. We'll assess their physical condition before our next fixture."
Asked whether this was Al-Hilal's most important match, Inzaghi replied: "Every match is important. We've already beaten Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad here in Riyadh, and today we beat Al-Qadisiyah away. We treat every game as crucial, and our goal is always three points."
The Italian coach also looked ahead to Al-Hilal's next challenge. The team will travel to Doha next Tuesday to face Al-Shamal in the AFC Champions League Elite group stage third round.
Inzaghi said: "We'll train in Dammam before heading to Doha. The journey is a factor in our preparations, and we'll do our best to ready ourselves for this continental match."
