Massimiliano Allegri insists he is not worried about Napoli's lack of action in the transfer window after earning his first win in charge of the club.
Having lost their first pre-season friendly 3-1 to Arezzo, Napoli responded with a 2-0 victory over Carrarese on Sunday.
Rasmus Hojlund struck the opener for Allegri's side in the 23rd minute, pouncing on a deflected Antonio Vergara attempt.
Vergara, who left the pitch injured with 10 minutes left to play, also won the penalty before half-time that was converted by Giovane.
Both sides also struck the woodwork, with Matteo Politano and Abiuso both rattling the crossbar.
Allegri was without the injured Alessandro Buongiorno and Sam Beukema, while Juan Jesus has left the club as a free agent.
Their only business so far in this transfer window has been turning the loan deals for Hojlund, Vanja Milenkovic-Savic and Alisson Santos permanent, but the Italian insists he has no issues with his squad.
"I have no doubts on the quality of my players, but then they need to be worked with, and we've got to improve our fitness levels, because the start of the season is coming up," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.
"The club will think about the transfer market; my job is to coach the players.
"At this moment, practically all the Italian clubs are static on the market. We've got another three friendlies, then we'll calmly evaluate what we have at the end of the transfer market.
"It was a good test; we did some things better than last time, and we didn't concede any goals.
"We have an important season with three top competitions, so we need a squad up to the task, and, above all, the desire of each of us to put in a good year.
"In order to do that, we must lay the foundations, and in the first six months do everything so we're ready in March to play our cards in all three competitions."
Another issue for Allegri to solve is the future of Kevin De Bruyne, who has a year left on his contract but has suggested he is not keen on the style of football he could be playing.
The Belgian said he was happy to see Conte leave due to his defensive tactics, with the club since saying he is still "part of the project" despite his criticism.
And Allegri is looking forward to linking up with De Bruyne when he returns from his extended break due to the World Cup.
"Technically, he's a pretty good player," Allegri added. "He'll arrive, and he'll be motivated.
"It'll be an important season for us; we need a squad worthy of three competitions."
