Amorim: I don't want to leave MU without champion, not afraid of being sacked

Manchester United manager Amorin was interviewed by Sky Sports, looking back on the victory at Anfield and looking ahead to the game against Brighton.

He also talked about topics such as the changes in his life since taking over as Manchester United manager.

"You once said, 'This job won't change you, but it will change your life.' So how has it changed you over these 12 months?"

It has indeed changed a bit. The exposure is completely different. My lifestyle is still relatively simple, but life has truly changed. When I sit in the dressing room at Old Trafford and look at the photos of the 23 former managers on the wall, I am well aware of my responsibilities and honors. I want to succeed and must succeed. I don't want to leave Manchester United without winning anything. This won't change who I am, but it has truly changed my life - just as you would expect. There are good aspects and bad aspects. But compared to everything happening in the world, I am still lucky. Although sometimes I have less freedom, the fans always support me, and I can still live a good life. I have also fallen in love with this country - this is one of the biggest discoveries of my year. Overall, this job has mostly made my life better.

"October seems to have been a long month for you—from the external criticism at the beginning to the current transformation. Did you feel uncomfortable during that period?"

You're right, there have been significant changes in a month. Of course, the boss's interview helped calm the outside world. But I've never been afraid of losing my job - that won't change my life. The only thing I'm afraid of is not winning, because that pain is real. I focus on winning, not what others think. Of course, I'd like everyone to like my football and say I'm the world's best coach, but that's impossible. I just want to win - when I win, I'm happy.
