Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has received attention for his reaction to his side's late penalty against Burnley.
In midweek Amorim was widely criticised for sitting on the bench and not watching the spot-kicks during United's shootout defeat against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
On this occasion Amorim watched on as Bruno Fernandes scored a stoppage time penalty to give United a much-needed win against the Clarets.
United prevailed with a 3-2 victory in an eventful game having initially taken the lead through an own goal from Josh Cullen.
Lyle Foster then equalised for Burnley before Bryan Mbeumo restored United's advantage.
Jaidon Anthony made it 2-2, with United subsequently awarded a penalty late on after Anthony was deemed to have pulled Amad Diallo's shirt in the box.
There was much focus on Amorim prior to the penalty being taken, with the United manager showing his anxiety.
In the end, though, there was elation for United and Amorim, with the Red Devils getting their first victory of the season.
One fan showed their support for Amorim as they wrote on X: 'so happy for him'.
Meanwhile, another supporter stated: 'This is why Manchester United are backing him, he has the interest of the club at heart'.
In addition, a fan wrote: 'He needed to win even the players. It doesn't matter the team we are playing against'.

very very soft penalty. This clearly shows man U can't win a match on their own
so according to you, a player has to be injured first then they call for a penalty 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️... is this the same mind you use when crossing the road ???

the formation he used not good enough for the team, this is coach problem because he uses 5 defenders than he shift Bruno Fernandez in dip midfield like that we short in attacking opponents, and one thing he used 5 and we conceade more goal, this coach he knows nothing at all,we are facing city and Chelsea next and don't forget he sell Genarcho to to the opponents,he must remember that that's big mistake he did this small boy will take revenge at all.

Just like Arsenal was against man u. that's football, you will sometimes need luck to win a football match and on another day you will win comfortably. And at the end of the day, a win is a win. congratulations Amorim

Our front still useless? Up to now can't utilise chances, this team cost the coach, we can not say amorin was a problem when amad missed that golden chance, not amorin system that made zerkze to fell to put in an effort on the ball so as to put it in the net. Players can't just make runs when their fellow has the ball and is going forward, poor! poor! poor!

sometimes it's not Amorim to blame cos the way those players waste chances, makes me think that United must have been bewitched. they would have killed the game by 4 goals at half time. the same chances wasted against Arsenal and grimpsy

As a Rival fan, I want united to stick to Amorim this season..he's so close now, they've already shown they can beat any team in PL. So the board has to trust him

The board generally needs to be sacked too, watching your team losing points just because the formation didn't favor the players and you're quiet, why don't you address Amorim to go back to the tradition of playing 4, 2, 3 ,1?????? Foolish board

Playing against Manchester United has to be the easiest team meeting of the year in terms of tactics. He refuses to change and plays the same system stubbornly all the time so it just makes it easier to plan your strategy against him because you know what he’s going do ,he said as much .what would be better would be to tell everybody that you’re playing the same way. and then go ahead and do it different if you want to keep your job as a Premier League manager, because as we have found out everybody gets found out tactically eventually in the EPL. If it can happen to Guardiola, Alex Ferguson, José Mourinho and Arsène Wenger Then he has no chance. Good luck to him anyway.
how many chances have Man U been able to create in the last 3 games? the problem isn't other teams figuring us out; it's us not being clinical infront of goal and not burying games. we creates so much against Arsenal but still couldn't score, we couldn't score yesterday either besides Bryan's goal even after creating more than 25 chances.

same with klopp too. a lot of managers found him out too. some know exactly what to expect they faced Klopp's liverpool but still couldn't stop it so there is that also. many managers are good but they are only good in smaller clubs with less competition. amorim may just be one such manager. I could be wrong. Manchester United is a massive club with expectations to match its size so the manager must be on his 'A' game at all times.

They guy is just too emotional to be sincere. He has the desire to manage this club for a very long time but things are working against him. Albeit Amorin is so stubborn that he refused to change his formation of 3-4-2-1 formation which players find it very difficult to adapt to it. Every successful club uses 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation. Xabi Alonso used 3-4-2-1 formation at Leverkusen and he was successful with it because his players adapted to it very fast. But when he came to Real Madrid, he wanted to repeat that formation but he felt players won't adapt to it faster. So, there's no time for long period of experimented. He quickly switched to the popular 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 formation and he's doing well with it right now. Amorin is just too stubborn by sticking to such useless formation. Manchester United are known for playing from the wings with 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 formation during their glorious days and not the other way round. Every match should have different tactics and dynamism depending on the team you are playing against. You can't keep using one old yeye formation for so long like that despite the fact that the formation is not giving you fruitful results game in game out.
Man United never played 4.3.3 or 4.2.3.1 formation before under Alex, his famous formation was 4.4.2, It was Ten Han who started playing 4.2.3.1 because it worked for him when at Ajex.
