Ampadu is unrecognisable as Chelsea loanee chops off his trademark dreadlocks 🎥

Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu has surprised fans by getting rid of his famous dreadlocks.

The 19-year-old caught the eye the moment he joined the Blues with his look a very unique one for an English player.

However, he will look almost unrecognizable the next time he steps on the pitch.

Ampadu, who currently on loan at RB Leipzig, shared a video of his transformation on his official Instagram account on Monday.

The clip shows the footballer arriving at a hotel room where he is met by celebrity barber HD Cutz, who has cut the hair of the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Olivier Giroud and Usain Bolt.

he barber, real name Sheldon Edwards, looks to be finding the  experience rather amusing as he wastes no time in chopping off a somewhat nervous looking Ampadu's dreadlocks.

In a comment on the Instagram post, Edwards wrote: 'Change. It is always inevitable.

'Never be afraid to make Your Personal transition, It will create a new perspective...'
