Real Madrid took another step towards securing the La Liga title on Saturday afternoon, having seen off Cadiz in convincing fashion. Should Barcelona fail to defeat Girona later in the day, the title will officially be heading back to the Spanish capital.
Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with the result, although he confirmed that there will be no celebrations in the camp, irrespective of whether the title is won at the earliest possible opportunity.
“We’ve contained our joy because we have Wednesday’s match coming soon. There is no euphoria in the dressing room. We have to be patient and wait. There will be a time for us to celebrate, but we have a match on Wednesday to think about first.”
Ancelotti also saved special praise for Thibaut Courtois, who made a huge save on his return to the Real Madrid starting line-up.
“Courtois is a very important piece for us. He’s returned well & did well in the 1-on-1 chance.”

Real Madrid not celebrating after winning the league?.. It means Bayern is in trouble.
