Ante Rebic puts Premier League on transfer alert by targeting move to England

Croatia striker Ante Rebic has issued a future “come and get me” plea to the Premier League, after revealing his dream is a move to English football.

Manchester United were heavily linked in the summer with the 25-year-old, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt first on loan in July 2016 before signing a permanent deal last August. But United never sealed the move despite sending representatives to the German club for talks. Premier League

North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal both showed huge interest in the 2018 World Cup finalist, along with German giants Bayern Munich. They were all prepared to pay the £35million asking price.

Rebic, though, remained at Frankfurt – with a burning ambition to play in England.

He said: “I can’t deny many clubs, some from England, expressed an interest. The Premier League is attractive and it would suit my style. I’d like to experience it.”

This season, former Fiorentina frontman Rebic has seven Bundesliga goals in only 14 appearances, three as a sub.

He was in Croatia's starting XI for their World Cup semi-finals win over England last summer, and both of the subsequent Nations League group games between the sides.
