It wasn't the best of performances from a largely second-string Arsenal side, but, thanks to Cologne's 5-2 win at home to BATE, they've confirmed their place in the knockout stage of the competition. That would have been Arsene Wenger's only goal heading into tonight's game, as their progression means he can continue resting his big guns for the final two group stage games, allowing the Gunners to fully concentrate on the Premier League.
Match Events
2: Borjan releases the ball immediately with a huge punt that so nearly falls for Boakye, but Gunners stopper Macey acts quick, racing off his line to head the ball out for a throw. Two minutes on the clock and both goalkeepers have already been called into action. This bodes well.
5: Arsenal are far from convincing at the back, as Macey scuffs a clearance right to the feet of a Red Star player.
Thankfully for the youngster, Holding is on hand to block to resulting attempt on goal.
10: CLOSE!
Injury... What injury? Olivier Giroud dusts himself down and registers Arsenal's first attempt on target as he gets on the end of Maitland-Niles' cross, but fires it straight at Borjan.
15: Great Skill!!
Red Star look to have Giroud surrounded at the corner flag but a nice piece of skill gets the Frenchman out of a hole, before he draws a foul.
34: CHANCE!
Willock bursts forward with real intent before slipping Giroud into space on the right, but Red Star stopper Borjan is quick off his line again to smother the Frenchman's effort.
35: SAVE!
End-to-end stuff here! Red Star hit back on the counter which ends with Srnic's long-range strike drawing a fine save from Macey.
36: WHAT A SAVE!
Macey is called into action for the second time in as many minutes. The first one was good but the second, to tip Savic's looping header onto the crossbar, is even better.
45: WHAT A CHANCE!
How are Red Star not ahead?! Boakye is played clean through on goal and he only has Macey to beat, but he somehow fires wide with the goal gaping. Criminal miss.
47: SHOT!
Positive start from Arsenal as Elneny plays the ball inside to Giroud, he spins his marker and fires just over the bar from 25 yards. An early sighter for the Frenchman.
51: SHOT!
Red Star continue from where they had left off in the first half as Kanga brings the ball down in midfield and plays Srnic in down the right channel. However, his low drive, which is comfortably saved by Macey, would have had to have been special to beat the keeper from such an angle.
56: CLOSE!
Srnic is played in behind the Arsenal defence again and this time he produces a fine low cross to pick out Boakye in the area. But just as the Red Star striker looks to pull the trigger, the offside flag goes up on the far side.
60: NO PENALTY!
Wilshere gets on the end of a throw-in and flicks it over the head of Savic before going to ground, but the referee is having none of it.
61: NO PENALTY!
Arsenal have a second penalty shout in as many minutes as Wilshere's low cross takes a deflection before appearing to hit Savic on the arm. The referee is well placed but chooses not to point to the spot. It would have been harsh, but let's just say we've seen them given.
64: OFF THE LINE!
Arsenal come within inches of taking the lead as Wilshere waltzes his way into the area, takes the ball off Maitland-Niles and chips a delightful shot towards goal, but Le Tallec is on hand to rescue Red Star with a stunning clearance.
79: CHANCE! Great one-touch play from an Arsenal throw, which sees Giroud and Elneny chip in with deft touches, presents Walcott with a chance to get a shot away, but he swipes at clean air.
80: CHANCE!
He missed an absolute sitter in the first half and Boakye and gone and done it again. With Debuchy down in a heap, the Red Star striker is played through on goal but he slices an effort horrible wide at the near post.

I don't know how far Arsenal will go with these scores... they have to do better! Arsenal are normally a good team but they can't draw against small teams like these. I'm not saying they wont do well in the Europa League, but I think they have to do better.
the future holds on the players

If this was Madrid, it would be UCL match. UCL matches are on Tuesday or Wednesday, not Thursday. So in Tuesday or Wednesday he can field the 1st team.
OK what if Madrid were in the Europa League
