An enthralling north London derby ended in a 4-2 victory for Arsenal, who move above Tottenham into fourth in the Premier League table.
Match Report
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice to help Arsenal to a thrilling 4-2 derby win over Tottenham at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The striker became the first Premier League player to reach 10 goals for the season before late strikes from Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira secured all three points for Unai Emery's rampant side.
Mauricio Pochettino's men, who saw Jan Vertonghen sent off late on, led 2-1 at half-time thanks to Eric Dier and Harry Kane, but the result sees them drop out of the top four at the expense of their north London rivals.
Match Events
10'Penalty Goal! Arsenal 1-0 Tottenham (Aubameyang)
AUBAMEYANG MAKES NO MISTAKE! A brilliant finish from the striker, with Lloris gambling early and diving to the turf, enabling Aubameyang to hammer home low down the middle. Aubameyang has now scored with each of his last 9 shots on target in the Premier League.
Goal! Arsenal 1, Tottenham Hotspur 0. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) converts the penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner.
12' CHANCE! Son's shot saved
SAVE! Tottenham have their first opportunity of the game, as Son races clear after clever play from Alli. The South Korea forward squares up Holding before unleashing a strike from a tight angle, but Leno is equal to it.
23' SHOT! Son's low shot saved
30'GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham (Dier)
DIER LEVELS IT UP! Well, Arsenal can’t hold out! Spurs have pulled level, Dier latching onto Eriksen’s wonderful free-kick to head in at the near post, with Leno failing to keep the ball out. Dier races to the touchline to celebrate in front of the Arsenal faithful, which some of Arsenal’s substitutes are not best pleased about, and that sparks a tussle on the touchline.
34'Penalty Goal! Arsenal 1-2 Tottenham (Kane)
WHAT A FINISH! Much like Aubameyang at the other end, Kane makes no mistake, slotting into the bottom-left corner after Leno had already dived the other way.
45' SAVE! Mustafi's header saved
SAVE! A looping header from Mustafi looks set to creep under the crossbar, but Lloris manages to get a fingertip to it, helping the ball onto the crossbar.
50' SAVE! Kane's free kick saved
CLOSE! Kane goes for goal from the free-kick, despite the tight angle, and Leno has to react sharply to tip the striker’s curling effort over.
56'GOAL! Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham (Aubameyang)
WHAT A GOAL FROM AUBAMEYANG! Arsenal are right back in this now, and the Premier League’s top scorer is the player they have to thank. A through ball from Bellerin set Ramsey away, and the Welshman did well to turn the ball back to Aubameyang, who unleashed a wicked first-time strike that soared into the top-right corner.
60' CLOSE! Mustafi's shot cleared off the line
OFF THE LINE! A corner falls to the feet of Mustafi, whose strike is blocked on the line by Alli. Torreira is on hand to latch onto the rebound, but his shot sails just wide. What a game we have on our hands!
68' CHANCE! Son's shot saved
Leno comes to Arsenal’s rescue as, after sloppy play from Bellerin, Son tries his luck from range. The Spurs man had Eriksen in support, but elected to go for goal.
74'GOAL! Arsenal 3-2 Tottenham (Lacazette)
Ramsey will be credited with the assist, his second of the game since coming on as a half-time substitute.
77'GOAL! Arsenal 4-2 Tottenham (Torreira)
TORREIRA MAKES IT FOUR! The Emirates Stadium is shaking as Aubameyang turns provider with a sublime pass through Tottenham’s lines. Torreira has acres of space and plenty of time to get his head up, and duly makes no mistake by slotting across Lloris and into the far corner.
85' Second Yellow Card! Vertonghen sent off
RED CARD! It goes from bad to worse for Tottenham, and for Vertonghen! It has been a nightmare return from injury for the defender, and now he has received his marching orders, having picked up a second booking for a cynical lunge on Lacazette.

This why I always tell fans to not judged their opponents potential from their previous fixtures. In other news, Aubameyang has finally proven to be " a big game player" he even outshined Harry kane.

What to say. Aubameyang is world class beyond belief and thank God he came to the league while he's turning 30. 2 goals and an assist. What a player. Wenger may have been going down but he definitely knew how to do business. Speaking of business, Emery also done some amazing business and a wonderful job with that Arsenal side. They look like a different animal. I've got a joint MOTM for this match. Of course one of them had to be Aubameyang, he was a menace. And the other was Torreira. What a guy, idk what Arsenal would do without him. He's a monster, a tiny but lethal monster. Emery has really changed these guys. At the Emirates they are a scary opposition. I'm actually glad Torreira scored cos I really like him and you could feel the passion from.him in the match. My favourite player from the Arsenal bunch this season. Even if the some of the Arsenal fans can be annoying as hell sometimes, their club has a lot of players I like.

This Unai Emery era is quite different from Wenger's era. Drawing Liverpool and beating Spurs is a big improvement. Wenger would av been ok with a draw against Spurs but not Emery. He makes d big calls. Am loving the new Arsenal.

This is second game Arsenal played like beast and most thrilling game this season worldwide.El Classico has not been so for long time and you gave it. Poch took this easy. How can you bench Alderwierald who is your best defender for a derby clash. If he's resting him for Barca then no use cos whatever Arsenal are capable of, Barca are capable of much worse at Camp Nou so the line up don't matter....
