Arsenal Player of the Month Nominees for October: Rice, Ødegaard, Madueke, Konsa

Arsenal have announced the nominees for the club's Player of the Month award for October 2026. Four players made the shortlist: Rice, Ødegaard, Madueke and Konsa.

After the international break, Arsenal returned to action in October by coming from behind to beat Leeds United, then beat Nottingham Forest and Everton to make it three consecutive Premier League wins. In the Champions League, the team defeated Lille and drew with Bayern Munich.

Declan Rice

Rice played a crucial role in October.

Against Leeds United, he produced a brilliant backheel pass to set up Guimaraes for the winning goal. A week later, Rice provided the assist for Noni Madueke in a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

He then scored his first goal of the season against Bayern Munich, a powerful shot into the bottom corner that earned Arsenal a draw at the Allianz Arena.

Ødegaard

Ødegaard won the Player of the Month award last month and is nominated again for October.

The captain played a key role in the three Premier League victories, which helped Arsenal win seven of their last eight league matches.

One of his best performances of the month came away at Bayern in Germany, where he played a superb lofted pass to Eberechi Eze, who shot and scored Arsenal's first goal of the match.

Madueke

With injuries on the wings, Madueke received significant playing time and seized the opportunity.

Against Nottingham Forest, he came off the bench after halftime and scored the winning goal in the final 10 minutes at the City Ground.

The English winger also assisted Timber, who opened the scoring in Arsenal's 3-0 Champions League victory over Lille.

Ezri Ngoyo Konsa

Ngoyo continues to improve and has formed an important centre-back partnership with Gabriel, helping Arsenal maintain the best defensive record in the league.

In Arsenal's last six matches, Ngoyo has helped the team keep three clean sheets. He also scored his first goal for Arsenal, a poked finish in the 2-0 win over Everton in the rain at the Emirates Stadium.
