Arsenal are the club 'most interested' in Matheus Cunha according to reports with the Wolves star still the subject of huge interest.
The Brazilian forward has been a shining light for the Molineux outfit, who are looking to avoid the drop this term. Cunha's exploits have attracted attention from a host of Wolves' Premier League rivals with the Gunners among those tracking his situation.
Arsenal themselves are seeking attacking reinforcements with the lack of a striker proving to be an issue. Bukayo Saka is out for months whilst Gabriel Jesus will now miss the remainder of the season, which has furthered their need to bring in new recruits.
Brazilian outlet UOL claim the north Londoners have identified the Wolves star as a target and claims they are the side ‘most interested’ in making a January deal happen despite the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United also being keen.
The Gunners have also been linked with Newcastle frontman Alexander Isak, but a January deal for the Swede is near impossible with the Magpies demanding well over £100million. Benjamin Sesko is another target but the RB Leipzig frontman only signed a new deal in the summer.
It means Cunha could be the man most likely to end up at Arsenal if they do make a January move for a striker. They won't be without competition though as reports claim high-flying Nottingham Forest are ready to table a club record bid for the Wolves man, who is valued at around £65million.
Arsenal chiefs are understood to have sanctioned a spree of heavy spending in the final weeks of the window, if they can land one of their primary targets.
The BBC have claimed that Wolves are relaxed about the 25-year-old's future. He has two and a half years left on his contract and discussions about a new deal are ongoing. New manager Vitor Pereira is desperate to keep Cunha but admitted: “If in the future he [Cunha] goes to a big club, I will be happy for him."
Arsenal are in the midst of their third successive attempt at landing the Premier League title. They have considerable ground to make up on Liverpool and new faces would aid their cause. Arteta has bemoaned his lack of options and said earlier this month that he wanted to be active in the market.

Cunha's profile fits right in to our prospects..He is someone who can play multiple Frontline positions, therefore allowing us to still go on and sign another out and out centre forward in the summer without him losing prominence..We can even promise Wolves that we will sent Gabriel Jesus to them as Cunha's replacement...

Cunha is not a natural #9 what's wrong with Arteta?

Cunha is more versatile so Arsenal need some one who will be more offensive upfront more than Kai , he( Kai ) is not physically strong and not that much clinical to bang many goals since he is a midfielder , Cunha is more quicker and stronger which means be can convert changes into goals even on one on one situations he is more of a natural striker than our star Havertz so if he is available then why not sign him
