FANS claimed Mikel Arteta was "about to get violent" as he was left fuming at Arsenal being denied a penalty.
Viktor Gyokeres went down in the box after being brought down by Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope.
A penalty was initially awarded to the North Londoners, but after a VAR review, the decision was overturned.
Replays showed that Pope had made contact with the ball before Gyokeres went flying over him.
Arsenal players were bemused by the change on the pitch while Arteta was seething on the touchline.
The manager could be seen sarcastically clapping the Jarred Gillett after he announced the final decision in the Premier League fixture.
Fans spotted the Spaniard's reaction as they flocked to social media to comment.
One posted: "Arteta looks like he’s about to get violent."
A second wrote: "Always complaining about something."
A third commented: "Look at Arteta, acting like the universe personally betrayed him. It’s football, not a Netflix drama!"
A fourth said: "Does he ever believe any decision."
Another added: "Arteta is fuming on the sideline."
The Premier League posted on social media after the controversial moment.
A statement read: "After VAR review, the referee overturned the original decision of penalty to Arsenal.
"Referee announcement: 'After review, the Newcastle goalkeeper plays the ball and there is no foul. The final decision is drop ball'."
Arteta was left bemused yet again as VAR did not overturn Newcastle's opening goal.
He could be seen gesturing for the VAR screen with his hands to the fourth official.
Nick Woltemade headed home to send the Toon wild but the Gunners were left complaining about the goal.
They claimed that the German striker pushed Gabriel Magalhaes before heading the ball.
Replays showed his hands on the back of the Brazilian but it was judged to have been "minimal contact".
