Arsenal fans FUME at Son - footage reveals him laughing with Pep after HUGE miss

Arsenal supporters have vented their fury at Son Heung-min after the forward missed a glaring one-on-one chance in Tottenham's defeat by Manchester City.

City emerged 2-0 victors after a tense showdown and leapfrogged Arsenal to move back to the top of the Premier League ahead of the final day of the season.

Erling Haaland scored both of the goals for Pep Guardiola's champions-elect either side of Son charging into City's penalty area and toward Stefan Ortega's goal.

Guardiola admitted he feared City's title chances were over as Son bore down on the net but Ortega rescued the visitors with a heroic, sprawling save down low.

That set the scene for City's second goal, a spot-kick inside stoppage time, leaving the Arsenal faithful to confront the reality that their title bid looks all but shattered.

Resignation quickly gave way to anger, however, after Son was caught on camera sharing a laugh with Guardiola on the pitch following the final whistle.

'He will never win any trophy in his life,' one X user said.

Another declared Son missed on purpose, writing: 'This is facts. He had a half open net, near post. An easy chance for any PL [Premier League] footballer to score but he chose the far post when the angle was cut down...'

'Look at this muppet laughing with the captain's armband on, too,' another added. 'Fkn pathetic. No wonder Ange [Postecoglou] said what he said. They don't deserve you, Ange. You wanna win. They wanna lose.'

'Embarrassing isn't the word for it', another account posted.

'They paid these two well,' a fifth said.

Eagle-eyed supporters spotted Spurs defender Cristian Romero also sharing a lighthearted moment with Guardiola, who lightly punched him on the chest.

The defender was seen looking delighted after the brief exchange.

City look on course to wrap up a fourth consecutive Premier League title - a record - on Sunday. They will win the league should they beat West Ham at the Etihad.

Arsenal, who face Everton in their finale, are two points behind in second place.

On Ortega's breathtaking stop, Guardiola said: 'He saves us – otherwise Arsenal are champions. That is the reality. The margins are so tight. The save from Son.

'It was incredible. One-on-one, Stefan is one of the best keepers I've seen in my life. It's the German culture – stand up, don't go down.'
