Arsenal in talks to sign Carrasco again after Perisic bid rejected (Sky Italia)

Arsenal are back in for Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco.

They are working on a deal to try and sign him from Chinese side Dalian Yifang but it would have to be another loan with a permanent switch at the end of the season.

The potential deal is in addition to their move for Denis Suarez with the Barcelona midfielder expected to complete his move to the Emirates in the next 24 hours.

But they have now given up on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic and are pursuing previous target Carrasco, 25, instead.

They simply cannot afford the Chinese club’s £35m asking price but are trying to be “creative” with a deal having been offered the player as he wants to come back to Europe.

It will still take a lot of work but Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen on the player and would regard Carrasco and Suarez as being a successful window.

The move for Carrasco would be a bitter blow for Perisic but Inter insist there has been no offer largely because Arsenal cannot do a permanent now.

Suarez, 25, is joining until the summer when Arsenal will have an option to buy for £18m.
