Arsenal press conference LIVE: Arteta on Jesus return, Fulham win and Trossard

Mikel Arteta is set to face the press after Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Fulham to pull away from Manchester City and close the gap in goal difference.

The game got off to a fairly tepid start without even a shot in the opening ten minutes of the game. But some cheap giveaways from the home side allowed the Gunners to grow in confidence and the chances began to come.

After an own goal from Antonee Robinson was overturned by VAR, the Gunners managed to get themselves legitimately in front. Gabriel Magalhaes rose to meet Leandro Trossard’s corner and head powerfully past Bernd Leno.

Arsenal would then gain control courtesy of another cross from Trossard. This time from open play, the Belgian looped a high ball to the back post and Gabriel Martinelli headed in.

It looked like the perfect half even with big misses from Granit Xhaka and Trossard, however, it would end even sweeter. Martin Odegaard got on the end of guess what? Yes, another Trossard cross to make it 3-0.

Fulham had chances in the second half but both the crossbar and Aaron Ramsdale were equal to them. The biggest cheer of the half however came in the 78tthminute when Gabriel Jesus made his return to the field.

Lots of good displays for #AFC, but Leandro Trossard is far and away the man of the match. Excellent game for the Belgian who gets the best out of all those around him. Martinelli, Odegaard and Gabriel all impressive too.
