The in-form Gunners have fared better in meetings with local rivals than any of their top-flight foes, with Fulham the latest side to be downed
Arsenal remain kings of the capital, with a Premier League-best London derby record enhanced with a 5-1 mauling of Fulham.
As three-time title winners, the Gunners have enjoyed periods of complete dominance in English football.
They have slipped down the pecking order in recent years, with the likes of Chelsea and arch-rivals Tottenham having edged ahead of them at times.
Arsenal can, however, claim to boast the finest overall record in meetings with those who share local surroundings.
As Premier League ever-presents, they have taken in their fair share of derby dates down the years – with their tally of clashes standing at 241 and counting.
They have emerged victorious in 124 of those contests, giving them an impressive win percentage of 51.5.
Arsenal improved their standing at the top of that particular table on Sunday with a crushing victory away at Fulham.
That contest at Craven Cottage was all square at the interval, with Andre Schurrle having cancelled out Alexandre Lacazette’s opener, but Unai Emery’s side dominated during the second 45 minutes.
Lacazette added a second shortly after the break before Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stepped off the bench to get in on the act – with the latter bagging a brace.
The Gunners head into the international break having collected nine successive wins across all competitions, with their last defeat coming in a derby date with Chelsea on August 18.
They have two more meetings with London rivals to take in before the end of the calendar year, with the first of those coming against Crystal Palace on October 28.
Emery’s side will then welcome Tottenham to Emirates Stadium for the first north London derby of the 2018-19 campaign on December 1.
