Arsenal have reportedly agreed a £34million deal to sign winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, but are said to have the wheels in motion elsewhere too
Arsenal are said to be holding advanced discussions with the representatives of Morgan Rogers. It comes as Mikel Arteta's side look to secure their 'top target' in the coming weeks.
The Gunners are making waves in the summer transfer window, with a £34million deal for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis in motion as they look to bolster their attacking options. Arsenal will look to kick-start their Premier League title defence next month, but Arteta has made it clear he is searching for reinforcement in particular areas of the pitch ahead of kick-off.
Rogers is thought to be a particularly admired talent, with Andrea Berta reportedly making the Aston Villa forward a priority signing this summer. With Tzolis seemingly wrapped up, Fabrizio Romano now claims that Arsenal will kick on with their pursuit of Rogers.
Negotiations are also claimed the be at an 'advanced stage' within the 23-year-old's camp. However, Villa are determined to retain their talisman for the new season, with Champions League football on the horizon for 2026/26.
Rogers has played his cards close to his chest over his future, with some reports suggesting Villa are holding firm for a British-transfer record fee of £130m.
"I'm not sure I'm worth all of that!" he said when quizzed about the reported valuation, adding: "Of course it's nice to hear that from people.
"But I don't let outside noise dictate me. I'm just going to keep focused, keep being me, keep being the person that got me here and keep trying to improve. I don't really listen to stuff like that."
Arsenal have already offloaded the first member of their title-winning side, with Leandro Trossard heading to Turkish outfit Besiktas for a fee of £17million after add-ons.
The 31-year-old netted some crucial goals during his spell at the Emirates Stadium, including the winner against West Ham United, which proved enormously significant in the Premier League title race.
An official club statement confirmed Trossard's exit, reading: "We have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard. We will provide a further update once the transfer has been completed."
It comes as Arsenal will look to have signed a number of fresh faces ahead of their Premier League curtain raiser with Coventry come Friday, August 21.

I don’t know why arsenal is so eager for this Morgan Roger’s guy. Is he really an upgrade of Martineli? Besides 100m euros is too much . This is too much of a gamble. Such amount should be spent on world class players like Vini Junior

We are on the same page mate, we need a natural left winger, Eze can do that job easily as good if given the opportunity. Why waste that money.

Sure very crazy we have Eze, Odegaard, Ethan and Merino …so I don’t know why we are taking huge money to buy him

£90ml max in my opinion , he isn’t worth above that realistically. The market’s gone crazy.
