Where Arsenal stand with incomings and outgoings
Arsenal began their plans for the summer transfer window before the January window had even ended. It was this forward planning that allowed Edu to bring in Arsenal's three main targets - Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz - before the team took off for their pre-season tour of the USA.
The Gunners then weren't necessarily expecting to do more business, but when the opportunity came up to sign David Raya after Nottingham Forest's interest in Matt Turner they moved quickly. It's safe to say, on the incomings front, things have gone pretty well.
When it comes to sales though it's not been so easy. Arsenal are expecting plenty more players to leave and among the most high profile of those is Kieran Tierney, who has attracted interest from Real Sociedad. Another player likely to follow Tierney out of the exit door is Folarin Balogun with Monaco currently frontrunners for his signature. Interestingly, as per The Athletic, Monaco are close to reaching an agreement to sign Balogun. Elsewhere, the club are open to offers for Nuno Tavares, Cedric and Nicolas Pepe, as well as Albert Sambi Lokonga and Rob Holding.

Marco Silva gives Folarin Balogun hint
Marco Silva has provided an update on Fulham's likelihood of bringing in a striker before the end of the transfer window on September 1.
When asked about potential further incomings his press conference before Fulham travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on the Gunners on Saturday afternoon, Silva admitted that his side were in the market for a centre-forward, hinting at the level of player they are hoping to attract: "If we are going to sign a striker, it has to be someone who can have an impact in our squad. Of course we need to sign players, but we need to sign the right ones."
Brooke Norton-Cuffy completes transfer
Arsenal defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy has joined Millwall on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old split his time between Rotherham United and Coventry City last season, making 45 appearances overall, and culminating in the right-back starting the Sky Blues’ play-off final defeat to Luton Town. Norton-Cuffy’s move to Millwall is the fourth loan spell of his career, having previously spent time at Lincoln City.
The Arsenal youngster is Gary Rowett’s sixth signing of the summer and Millwall’s director of football Alex Aldridge explained the reason for bringing Norton-Cuffy to the club.
"He is held in very high regard by Arsenal - both as a player and as a character - and he has exciting attributes that we feel can really strengthen Gary’s squad,” Aldridge said.
