Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Anthony Gordon are among the targets Arsenal are monitoring as they look to sign a left-winger this summer.
The Premier League leaders want to bring in top-quality players that can improve their starting options with left wing one of the positions manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have been focusing on.
Arsenal's most frequently used players on the left-wing, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, have one year remaining on their contracts after this season.
Arsenal can expect to have a lot of competition for Paris Saint-Germain star Kvaratskhelia if he comes on the market, while Gordon has shone for Newcastle across the frontline since he arrived from Everton.
PSG signed Kvaratskhelia in January 2025 and he has quickly established himself as one of their most important stars, playing a crucial role in last season's treble-winning campaign.
The Georgia international has three years left on his contract in Paris and the Qatari owners are under no financial pressure to sell him. Newcastle are in an even stronger position with Gordon's contract, which runs out in 2030.
Sky Sports News reported last summer that Rodrygo at Real Madrid is another player Arsenal have looked at for this position. However, the Brazil international is set to miss the rest of the season and World Cup with a serious knee injury.
Central midfield is another priority for Arsenal, who are monitoring Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson ahead of a summer when many top clubs are focusing on that position. They are also looking at full-back.
However, it will not be as straightforward as committing huge transfer fees to these players.
Although PSR restrictions are not currently a concern, Arsenal will need to sell some players to be able to afford the kind of fees these targets would command.
Lewis-Skelly on Man Utd's transfer shortlist
Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly is on Manchester United's list of potential left-back targets this summer, Sky Sports News understands.
Lewis-Skelly signed a new five-year contract at Arsenal last summer after his breakout season but has lost his place in the team since the arrival of Piero Hincapie.
The 19-year-old, who is still held in high regard at the Emirates, has started one Premier League game all season and lost his place in the England squad.
It remains to be seen who Arsenal will receive offers for, and who they would be open to letting go, in a summer when they need to raise funds to sign their top targets.
However, Lewis-Skelly would present 100 per cent profit on the balance sheet having come through the youth ranks.
Newcastle's Lewis Hall and Eintracht Frankfurt's Nathaniel Brown are among the other options under consideration to strengthen the left-back position at Old Trafford along with Lewis-Skelly.

Arsenal will definitely purchase a new striker, left winger, central midfielder, right back, plus a younger centre back who’s versatile along the defensive line.

I personally believe in Berta and Arteta to get the players we need to strengthen our starting X1, and sell players we are not getting VFM for, keeping our 25 player squad. We will definitely invest plus loanees Kiwior and Viera will be sold easily and maybe Lokonga and Nelson. We will be fine.

Bigger than psg in what way please
The French league is a 1 club league, players want competition from other clubs, it’s a joke of a league. Also i would love to know how they never get questioned about their spending. It’s ridiculous, also players like to play before big crowds, the attendances are so low, there’s no atmosphere.

Cheers mate i appreciate your comment and i have nothing against your team. I believe Alonso will be in charge next season. Your recruitment was totally wrong this season, you are missing Diaz. You didn’t need Isaak, and Frimfrong has always been plaqued with injuries. Trent wasn’t replaced properly. But to drop so far off the top of the league after comfortably winning it. Slot has to be replaced. I personally believe that you will be in the Champions League next season by finishing in 5th position. Good luck mate and keep supporting your club through thick and thin.🤙
Thanks my comrade

I personally don’t believe that they are for all they hear is that they will blow it again. I,like other Arsenal fans are just taking it game by game and hopefully we can get sufficient points to win the EPL. Your communities opinion may be different. But we are slammed for our games even though it’s about getting the points. The fans in general are hopeful and they know that we are in an excellent position to achieve our goals. We will soon find out. Anything can happen in football, so maybe this is our year.

I respect your opinion mate, but why do you want Arsenal to end the season without a trophy? Why are you an Arsenal hater . Is there any specific reason, or are you just a hater because you know that they are building something special and maybe dominate English football for years to come?

I hope that you know that the top 5 teams in the premier league will again qualify for the champions league. It’s between Liverpool and Chelsea. Good luck. I do believe Arsenal will win the premier league. I don’t understand how everyone believes City will win their final 8 games. We have 4 games at home and 3 away. We have a great chance of succeeding this year.

I personally disagree 💯 with you, Sunday’s loss at Wembley didn’t seem to anger players like Gabriel, Saliba and Rice. If it had occurred in a league game they would have gone ballistic. This transmits to me that the EPL is and always has been Arsenal priority target, closely followed by the Champions League. If we had won it on Sunday all the Arsenal haters would be saying that we have just won the Tin Pot Cup.Basically a trophy nobody is interested in or cares about.
