According to a report by The Athletic's renowned journalist Ornstein, Arsenal made a verbal offer for Guimaraes, but Newcastle United rejected it.

Arsenal reportedly made a verbal offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. The offer, conveyed to Newcastle United through intermediaries, was valued at less than Β£60 million and has been rejected by the club.

Newcastle United insists they will not entertain offers for the 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who is currently on international duty with Brazil preparing for the World Cup knockout stages.

Guimaraes joined Newcastle United from Lyon in January 2022 and has become a key player for manager Eddie Howe, making over 150 Premier League appearances and scoring 30 goals for the club. He is also a vital player for the Brazilian national team.

Newcastle United sold winger Anthony Gordon to Liverpool this summer for Β£45 million and has faced ongoing speculation over the future of midfielder Sandro Tonali.
