Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed a new contract in a deal that will likely take him beyond a decade as the club's manager.
The Gunners boss, who led his side to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season, is already the longest-serving manager in the top flight by nearly three years.
He took the reins from Unai Emery at the Emirates in December 2019, and has revolutionised the side, helping them return to the top table with European football's elite by guiding them to the Champions League final.
And he has now been rewarded for success with a mega-money deal. He has been earning Β£10million-a-year, but it is understood his salary will now increase markedly with a generous bonus package.
His current deal runs until the end of the season, but Tuesday's news shuts down any uncertainty over his future.
He had already tried to cool those concerns, saying in August: 'They don't have to worry about any of that because I want to be here.
'I'm extremely happy and I feel very grateful to work with the people I work with.'
Co-chairman Josh Kroenke had said in May that sorting the Spaniard's future was a priority, and the deal has now been done after months of negotiations.
Arteta was already the league's highest-paid manager, and one of the highest-remunerated in world football.
The former midfielder, who played 150 times for the Gunners after joining from Everton, has won four trophies with Arsenal, including the Community Shield earlier this season.
He lifted the FA Cup in his first season in charge, while also winning the Community Shield the following year.
Arsenal had won every game this season until the weekend, when they lost 3-0 at Brighton.

While people who are not even Arsenal fans are here showing the spirit of sportsmanship by commending Arteta's achievements at the Arsenal. Some mischievous clown π€‘ are here passionately spewing nonsense as if their life depend on it condemning Arteta's because he failed to win UCL Cup. what a clown π€‘ is Arteta the first manager to lose in the champion league final?. His mentor in Pep and the likes, the ring of elite managers have all lost more than twice in the final. Who set the rules that Arteta in his first managerial job must win the final the first time he reached it? We know people we their likes, spreading sadistic and bad energy all over social media space. Nameless people who never excel in their field of endeavor would passionately spewing nonsense out of context each time they need to feed their empty ego, hate and sadistic tendencies. The well wisher and those who appreciate and chose diligence over cowardice and mediocrity know that even if he had won it , theri likes would have found another baseless argument to discredit Arteta's sagacious tactical acumen and brilliance, leading to his success and now a much better rewards at the emerate. Up Gunners! You ain't seen nothing!

Arsenal won the league last season but to be honest, Arteta is not up to the task/job. Look at what happened in the champs league final against PSG, Arsenal got an early goal and suddenly went into a defensive strategy, conceded a penalty which led to the equaliser and lost on penalties. How can you assemble such a quality squad and lost to Brighton 3-0?
