Mesut Ozil has been left out of the Arsenal squad for their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Saturday evening due to injury.
Unai Emery's side arrived on Merseyside on Friday evening but midfielder Ozil was not with the travelling group.
According to BBC's David Ornstein, Ozil suffered an injury in his knee and was later withdrawn from the Arsenal travelling squad.
Aaron Ramsey, Lucas Torreira and Co were pictured getting off the Gunners coach in Liverpool.
Emery has tipped Liverpool to match Arsene Wenger’s Invincible team by going a whole season unbeaten prior to the encounter.
‘At the moment they are doing and they can do it. They are doing it at the moment,’ the Arsenal manager said.
Emery also said that Liverpool are a perfect model for Arsenal to look up to as they set about recapturing their former glories.
‘We played three years ago in the Europa League final with Sevilla against Liverpool and we beat them,' he said.
‘But look at the process and it’s a very good example for us. The progression is clear: they were out of the Champions League and they are an example for us at Arsenal now. We need to be demanding of ourselves but we need time and patience is very important.’

Emery should learn from what happened to Mourinho when he decided to drop Pogba.Ozil has been a key arsenal playmaker who can be admired by any successful manager.Whichever reason,you cannot compare Goudouzi which either Ozil or Ramsey.I think arsenal is turning to be too big for emery.

Arsenal is better without Ozil. Ramsey is a good player that should not be allowed to go. Unfortunately, his financial demand is being influence by the unmerited money given to Ozil. Arsenal should return to the negotiating table with Ramsey. Ozil should be allowed to go. it is a rotten apple that can only damaged the good ones.

Emery should be very careful because you don't fight with your key players this is what Mourinho did at United and lost the dressing room so if Emery doesn't take care he will also lost the Arsenal dressing room and he will be sacked

Emery guys is not a coach I said this on his appointment day people complained he deosnt know our team culture and he can’t take us to championship winning team every coach will always encourage his big players and give them chances to play not dropping them look how many touches Lacazette has in the last game that fighting spirit but Emery substitute him for no reason now compare Iwobi who can only pass back to his defense or goalkeeper but he’s always on the pitch.Unai my advice to you play Ramsay and Ozil with Toreira use Xkha as defesif mildfieder Laca and Auba upfront you will see any team we face will be pulling up their socks
