Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's winning run with Manchester United was ended by Burnley, but they came within minutes of a shock defeat.
Match Report
Manchester United scored two late goals in the space of five minutes as they came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Burnley at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood appeared to have set Burnley on course for a first away win against United since September 1962 and inflict a first defeat on caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, Paul Pogba's 87th-minute penalty and an injury-time strike from Victor Lindelof salvaged a point for the home side that could yet prove important in the race for the top four.

51'GOAL! Man Utd 0-1 Burnley (Barnes)
GOAL! Burnley lead! Pereira is woefully dispossessed just in front of his back four by Cork. The midfielder quickly lays off to the onrushing Barnes who blasts the ball into the net first time.
81'GOAL! Man Utd 0-2 Burnley (Wood)
GOAL! 2-0 BURNLEY! This will be Burnley's first win at Old Trafford since the 1960s! Wood glances a header into the far corner of De Gea's net after Lindelof plays him onside. United surely can't come back from this now.
87'Penalty Goal! Man Utd 1-2 Burnley (Pogba)
PENALTY! Hendrick needlessly tugs at the arm of Lingard and the referee immediately points to the spot. Pogba steps up and dispatches it with ease. 2-1 United.
92'GOAL! Man Utd 2-2 Burnley (Lindelof)
GOAL! 2-2 UNITED! The old Man Utd are truly back! Tarkowski concedes a corner for United as Pogba bursts into the box. The corner finds its way to Young, who loops the ball back in. Heaton keeps Sanchez's header out, but can't stop Lindelof from smashing in his first for the Reds!

I don't understand why Andreas will start over Herera and was subbed for Lingard. Yes Lingard won the penalty but replacing Andreas with Herera will help the defence and assist attack thereby avoiding the second goal. Rash has always been a top 9 not a winger and Lukaku is better off a (right) winger than a top 9. Please somebody should tell Ole to tell the team that Young is not d backbone of the Devils. They tend to pass the ball to him too often and he finds it difficult to Cross the ball correctly. I missed Dalot. Lastly OLE should work on absorbing set-pieces from his opposing team. Cos that's the major weak point of his back 4 I believe this game is a giveaway to the visitors. #GGMU

IMO, United under Mourinho will always play crosses to the middle to find luck through big man like Pogba, Lukaku, Fellaini, Matic. But United under Ole, they try to find a way to pierce through the centre by playing side to side, cross, pass, through ball. Thats what I want to see from Man Utd. Yet, we cannot put aside that our defense are so leaky. Both goals are pure mistake. But overall, Its a good game and a good fight for our Man Utd. Its better to get a point than none. And we hope that we will bounce back and get a win in the next game. No need to blame any players cause in the end, we can see that all players try to fight and not give up until the end. GGMU

So for the second time in a row, Manchester United had to come from 2 goals down to draw with Burnley at Old Trafford. But if you watch both games, there is a clear difference in the way both teams played. Difference in intensity, difference in fire power and difference in hunger. Whereas Jose's United played for 45 minutes and conceded two goals, Ole's United played for 90 minutes and gave away two goals. Jose's United would have won if they played the first half like they played the second half but Ole 's United would have won if they hadn't given goals away. I don't know if you get my meaning but 🤷🏻♀️🍃

Despite the fact that we drew Burnley today doesn't mean we aren't good or manager OGS made a wrong decision by including Andreas in the game today. I really do not blame anyone today because OGS needs to rest some of his players and use other player because there are a lot of matches to play this coming February. With this unbeaten tweak, I think OGS deserves the Manager of the Month

in the end, it was a case of saw close yet so far away for Solskjaer to set a record of debut 7 consecutive premier league wins (I guess he will have to manage with pep and ancelotti at 6 each) I have always said it,/starting Lukaku in a game is bad idea he is not technical enough, although he works hard for it but he is not there,.I hope Solskjaer learn from this I am not happy with how this game went

Prem was weird today. City lost though Newcastle are a bogey team to the top 6. Arsenal and United scraped their games through penalties otherwise were on a path to losing. Lindelof is quality, he's by far United's best defender. Jones is by far the best defender for the rest of the top 6 to go up against. Pogba is the second best midfielder in the prem currently behind Kante. Otherwise a very lucky escape for United and a sign of relief for the FA cup match since they're being found out same way everyone else was after their unbeaten runs.

1.Why play rashford on the left wing after him proving better in central position 2. Why keep herera ahead of Pereira 3.Why keep Mata on pitch when martial can use the left wing 4.How can you have Mata, lindgard, sanches on the pitch at the same time, i wuould rather retain lukaku plus 2 of them on to keep in box waiting for the crosses 5.May be OGS wants to please all those players because how dare him bench herera, bt am glad hes paid the price en learnt the hard way, but next time it may cost him his Job

Why are United fans attacking Pereira? some of you guys are so fickle. He may have had a bad game but he's the future of your club. Those youth are the foundations of your team in the coming future, don't put them down. Ampadu had an awful game as a regista but you don't see Chelsea fans calling him crap or wanting him out cos of a mistake in one game. So many fickle United fans, you guys are unbelievable...

To be honest if Rashford concentrated lil not than we would have won this game by first half but it's Al over now.. Sanchez we don't have to say anything bout him we need to sale him without second thought.. I know you guys will say just because he conceded a goal but to be honest Harera and Lingard must start ahead of pareira.. Our main weakness the defence.. CB needed badly but it's almost over, the transfer window.. The future fixture we have I have a doubt we will struggle just because of our back Four. GGMU❤️❤️❤️ Thank you..

United missed 1v1 and other chances and it cost them. Burnley surly didn't deserve 3 points nor did United. I love my team Manchester United who showed fight and grit. Man City should take a few pointers😂😂😂

we may not win but they were playing good football. Burney physicality and great saves by the keeper is the only problem. Andreas perreira i pity him ole give him 1 start and he mess it up

United's attack under Solskjaer has vastly improved, but the defense? A different story. Even though we were winning our matches, most of the goals we conceded were due to some very shameless defending. And I've been noticing these defensive errors right from the time we beat Cardiff 5-1. But they appeared to be negligible since the attack was covering them up. This is what I've always feared.: the defence is woeful, but is covered up by an improved attacking frontline. Now, every United fan would know that you can't always expect the attack to function at 100%, a time had to come when they would be off and the defence would now have to do all to ensure we won the match. And that day was today. The attack didn't do their job until 5 minutes to go; and then the laziness of our defence was exposed. Just look at the shameless error that led to the first goal... And imagine if the attack failed to step up in the nick of time. Now this stop to our winning run is not my biggest worry. The thing is, with the incompetent defenders we have, what if the attack again fails to step up in a more crucial game? If Burnley, who are struggling to avoid relegation, could punish our defence, leaving de Gea at their mercy twice they way they did, PSG will not spare them assuming they still defend with the same laxity they did today. With today's result, honestly, I'm having second thoughts about the outcome of Man Utd vs PSG. I don't expect us to defend lazily again and think we'll be pitied by Cavani, Mbappe and Co., even if Neymar is injured. Anyway, on the bright side, I can sleep tonight knowing tomorrow's headline will read: "Man United's winning streak ended by Burnley home draw", or, "Solskjaer registers first draw at home vs Burnley as Reds caretaker manager", instead of, "United's winning streak ended with shock home defeat by Burnley", or, "Solskjaer experiences shock first home loss to relegation-threatened Burnley as Reds caretaker boss". Whew....!

that's what you get when you experiment with Pereira who had not started a premier league game (and was the one who literally give the first goal), in place of in form Herrera.... and I have predicted after the line up had been announced it wouldn't surprise me if we fail to win..... we are lucky to have even come out with a draw.... pride comes before a fall OGS.... hope you have learned that.... congratulations to Burnley....
