Ljungberg's side continue their 9-game winless run, Maupay scored late on as Brighton and Hove Albion claimed their first away victory over Arsenal, who have not won in nine matches.
Match Reports
Arsenal's dismal run of form rolled on as Neal Maupay's superb header earned Brighton and Hove Albion a 2-1 victory at Emirates Stadium.
Alexandre Lacazette's 50th-minute equaliser on his 100th appearance for the club looked set to pave the way for Arsenal to claim their first win under caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg.
Yet Brighton, who had deservedly taken the lead through Adam Webster in the first half, managed to wrest back control after David Luiz had a goal ruled out by VAR.

20' Yellow Card! Bellerin booked
Bellerin is cautioned for pulling back on Connolly on the edge of the Arsenal box. In fact, it may even have been just inside - VAR will have a look at this for a possible penalty.
28' CLOSE! Aubameyang's shot inches wide
The ball drops to the feet of Lacazette and he spots Aubameyang alongside him in a better position. The Gabon international gets his shot all wrong, though, dragging it wide of the target.
37' GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Brighton (Webster)
Brighton are refusing to sit back on their lead. Mooy charges down the left and the ball is worked across to Propper, but he overhits his attempted throughball for Connolly and Leno is able to collect.
50' GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Brighton (Lacazette)
Arsenal's fast start to the second half pays off as they draw themselves level! Lacazette flicks on a corner into the far corner. Kolasinac and Propper jumped for it but neither could make a telling touch.
64' OFFSIDE! David Luiz's goal disallowed
David Luiz thinks he has given Arsenal the lead but VAR rules it out for offside. The centre-back watched Ozil's free-kick all the way and volleyed it past Ryan, but replays show he was clearly offside.
80' GOAL! Arsenal 1-2 Brighton (Maupay)
Maupay regains the lead for Brighton with 10 minutes to play at the Emirates Stadium! Mooy sends in a cross from the left and Maupay does brilliantly to guide it away from Leno into the far corner. What a huge win this could be for Brighton!
