Chelsea climbed into second place in the Premier League table with a convincing 4-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor as Ross Barkley records a 3-goal involvement.

11' Barkley strikes but Hart makes brilliant save
Stop by Hart! With their first serious attack of the game, Chelsea put Burnley under pressure through a Kante cross in off the right.
Willian plays it back to Barkley who lifts it the centre of the goal, only for it to take a deflection off Morata's head. The Clarets keeper leaps and just manages to tip it over his top-right corner.
21' CLOSE! Willian's shot off the post
POST! Lowton has been great going forwards, but he loses his man here and Willian breaks to the left of the box and opens his body to shoot across Hart, and he beats the keeper, but doesn't quite get enough curve and the ball bounces back off the post.
22'GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Chelsea (Morata)
MORATA GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD! 1-0! It's a sublime pass from Kante and a wonderful one-touch tap-on from Barkley to put the Spaniard in the box and he duly drills it low beyond Hart as the keeper races out to cut him off.
38' CHANCE! Morata's shot wide of the near post
CLOSE! Alonso charges forward and his fine ball into the box finds Morata, who cuts inside Ben Mee and looks certain to score but he can only toe-poke wide at the near post.
42' Morata misses golden chance in front of Hart!
What a stop from Hart! It's another great chance for Morata, who times his run to perfection in meeting a Jorginho cross into the box. At close-range, he cracks a powerful shot in and the Clarets keeper makes a brilliant save to deny him.
57'GOAL! Burnley 0-2 Chelsea (Barkley)
BARKLEY DOUBLES CHELSEA'S LEAD! 2-0! It's a magnificent finish from the midfielder who runs on the angle from right to left past three defenders before turning a low thunderbolt of a shot into the bottom-right corner past Hart's outstretched gloves. It's a long way back for Burnley now.
Goal! Burnley 0, Chelsea 2. Ross Barkley (Chelsea) left footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by N'Golo Kanté.
62'GOAL! Burnley 0-3 Chelsea (Willian)
WILLIAN MAKES IT THREE! 3-0! Chelsea are running rampant and the Brazil international becomes the latest man to get on the scoresheet as he cuts in off the left wing, nips around two defenders and curls a low effort beyond Hart in at the far right corner.
92: GOAL! Burnley 0-4 Chelsea (Loftus-Cheek)
LOFTUS-CHEEK BRINGS IT UP TO FOUR! 4-0! A hat-trick in midweek and now a goal here, the England international wrestles a shot in at close-range after Burnley couldn't stop David Luiz in a crowded box. A pair of deflections take it to the youngster - and a slight deflection off some desperate Clarets defence helps it in behind Hart.
Match reports
Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season as Alvaro Morata, Ross Barkley and Willian scored in a 4-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.
The Blues made light work of Burnley in Eden Hazard's absence – the Belgian missing with a back problem – as a devastating attacking display saw off the Clarets and moved Maurizio Sarri's side up to second in the table, two points behind leaders Liverpool.
Barkley's deft pass in the 22nd minute set Morata up for Chelsea’s opener and the England international scored in his third consecutive Premier League game 12 minutes into the second half to put the game beyond Sean Dyche's side.
Joe Hart had to be alert to deny Chelsea a 12th-minute opener, the Burnley goalkeeper pawing away Morata's instinctive header from Barkley's scuffed shot.
Robbie Brady – making his first appearance in 10 months after a knee injury – then flashed wide for the hosts before Willian went agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock, his precise effort coming off Hart's left-hand post.
There was no such luck for the Clarets in the 22nd minute when Morata slotted into the bottom-left corner after latching onto Barkley's incisive through ball.
Morata then squandered two golden chances to cement Chelsea's superiority before the interval, first dragging wide after cutting inside Ben Mee and then firing straight at Hart after being picked out by Jorginho.
The rejuvenated Barkley doubled Chelsea's advantage in the 57th minute, bursting forward from midfield and drilling into Hart's bottom-left corner from 25 yards.
That was followed just five minutes later by a third from Willian, who cut in from the left and whipped a fine strike past Hart for his second league goal of the campaign.
Fresh from his hat-trick against BATE in the Europa League on Thursday, Loftus-Cheek slammed home a fourth from close range in stoppage time as Chelsea sent out an ominous statement about their title intentions.

What a game. We controlled it from the start to end. Great play from Barkley and Willian in particular. Both were amazing. Continuing this form means we can compete for the league. One issue I have is that Morata can always do the hard part but struggles with the easy part. If he can improve his finishing then with his technical ability he can be a top 3 striker in the prem. I'd like to maybe see Morata tested on the wing one day. RLC in fine form yet again. What can I say, what a performance. COYB 💪

May l bring in something different from praising the lads for doing a demolition job to perfection this afternoon. Have you all football lovers that Chelsea plays a different game that is unstoppable if Hazard is not in the side. I have been observing this from day one when he could not play because of coming in late from the World Cup call of duty. Chelsea players seem to Dayton themselves “Now boys it is the time to show people we can play our own football without having to give it to one player each time we have it”. They move the ball much faster and all players put up a performance that we rarely see when Hazard is there. Morata gets more balls and as usual wastes more easy chances than the difficult ones but at least he gets the ball often. The bell moves much faster than being slowed by our kingpin who wants the ball played on his terms whereas without him it is a different ball game and every player stands up to be counted with a stealing performance and the ball passed to all players who are in good position to receive it. If you haven’t noticed this then try to take note on our play with or without Hazard and l bate you will like how the boys play with or without him. I am not against the player but as l have said have been noticing this and want to share my observations with you.

Congrats boy's (chelsea) on yet another wonderful display and 3 point in the bag but this time more encouraging and exciting because we did it without our king #hazard, because a new Prince has emerged at Stanford bridge and his name is Ross Barkley and am really expecting to see him in all football player of the week nominators because he has indeed been brilliant in both his goals and all round performance. I guess is true when they say hardwork pays because he is a living testimony
