Tranmere 0-7 Tottenham: Llorente hat-trick crowns Spurs' FA Cup rout

Serge Aurier hit an unlikely brace before Fernando Llorente completed a second-half treble as Tottenham demolished Tranmere in the FA Cup.

Pochetino's men double their lead at the start of the second half. After some sloppy play from both sides, Aurier produced a smart flick down the line to play in Son. The forward dribbled his way into the box before picking out Llorente who tapped home into an empty net.

GOALLLLL - Aurier grabs his second of the night after a fine team move from the visitors. Son's Cruyff turn confused the Tranmere defence on the edge of the box and he looked up to see Aurier stood in acres of space. The right-back picked his spot and Davies could not get a strong enough hand behind his shot.

After two assists, Son now gets on the scoresheet after driving past a tired Tranmere defence. He was given too much time and space on the edge of the box and he was able to turn onto his left foot before finding a way past Davies. The Tranmere keeper should have done better there but he has already saved his team on a number of occasions.

GOALLLLL - Tranmere 0-5 Tottenham. Llorente makes it five after a sensational pass from Skipp from the middle of midfield. The youngster took one touch before fizzing a ball through the Tranmere defence and the Spanish striker takes a couple of touches before stroking the ball home.

HAT-TRICK!!!! -  Llorente gets his third of the night after another deadly attack from Spurs. Lucas powered his way into the Tranmere box before sliding a pass towards the near post. The angle looked too tight but Llorente opened his body up before finding a way past Davies.

SEVEN!!!!! Tranmere 0-7 Tottenham. The home side are carved open again and sub Kane gets in on the act with a neat finish at the near post. He latched onto a throughball from Alli and produced a neat chip to beat Davies.

Fernando Llorente was Tottenham's hat-trick hero as they hammered League Two Tranmere Rovers 7-0 in the third round of the FA Cup. 

As on their previous trip to Merseyside before Christmas – a 6-2 rout of Everton – Mauricio Pochettino's side were in a clinical mood, although they had to wait until five minutes before half-time for Serge Aurier to spectacularly open the scoring. 

The resistance Tranmere mustered before the interval dissipated afterwards as Spurs ran riot, with Llorente opening his account before Aurier completed an unlikely brace in the 55th minute. 

Son Heung-min made it seven in his past six outings and two goals in as many minutes completed a treble for Llorente, whose replacement Harry Kane then got in on the act.
