Barcelona must choose between Neymar and Lautaro as they can't afford to sign both, per ESPN report.

ESPN has learned that Bartomeu has placed his confidence in a Belgian lawyer, Wouter Lambrecht, to look into all possible outcomes. Lambrecht has worked for the club since 2017 and specialises in matters relating to FIFA, UEFA and the European Club Association (ECA) -- he has previously worked for two of those organisations, FIFA and the ECA. (Lambrecht was unavailable for comment for this article.)
A legal source with expertise on the situation has told ESPN that the first step is for Neymar, upon the completion of the third year of his terms, to "break his contract with PSG." It's at that point when FIFA's protected period ends and he would have to inform PSG of his intentions within 15 days of the club's final competitive game of the campaign. (The ongoing suspension of play across Europe would also complicate which game is considered their final competitive fixture of 2019-20.)
If Neymar does that, Barca and PSG would then have to sit down at the table with the aim of reaching an agreement. That was not possible last summer when the two sides last tried to do business. Barca came up with all sorts of formulas: a loan with an obligatory option to buy for a figure approaching €200m at a later date, cash plus player deals and even plans focused around paying the transfer fee in installments. Nothing satisfied PSG's demands.
If the two clubs cannot reach a deal here, FIFA would try and resolve the case as they did with Webster. If either of the clubs disagreed with the ruling, they would then reserve the right to appeal to CAS.
The reality is that in trying a measure this extreme to get Neymar back to Camp Nou, Barca would be taking a step into the unknown.

I will also choose neymar, because neymar is talented he is a Barca player before and he has great experience playing in la Liga and has good relationship with the Barca players, neymar is different from lautaro, his style of play is pleasing and his skills and magic always lightens the camp Nou, and the way he links up with messi is incredible, we will love to see that happen again, and neymar is the only reliable replacement for messi in the future and I hope he joins Barca soon.

I like Lautaro very much ,he is a player any team who want to have. He is one of the best forwards around. I would want both him and Neymar in my team. But if I had to choose one for Barca , it would be Neymar. Reason is simple. He has played at Barca already and done well. It would be easier for him to adapt than Lautaro. He already knows how Barca plays. Barca shd go Neymar first but shd wisely keep an eye on Lautaro in the case Neymar doesn't happen. One of Neymar or Lautaro would do.

Lautaro is faster, younger,a natural goal scorer and he’s not injury prone. A sensible president will get both, cos Neymar can fill in for Messi in the creative aspect but can’t provide the same ratio of goals.

Barca hasn't gotten neymar's replacement up till date. * They signed Dembele, he became an injury prone and didn't establish his potential. * They signed Coutinho, first season was good, his second season was a disaster and was labelled a flop. * They signed Griezmann, which was not necessary and we didnt need him, although he is scoring goals but he hasn't stepped up even without messi and he isn't convincing. The best option is to sign the player who left and proved to the club tHat he is irreplaceable.

Even I chose Neymar because we need a good LW. We already have two good CF's i.e. Suárez and Griezzy. Lautaro is also really good but the only problem is that even he's a CF. So, let Neymar Jr. return to the Camp Nou and we can form the most dangerous attacking trio again, the MSN. But once again there is a problem. I don't know what will happen to Greiz who is also playing really well and scoring regularly.

Neymar must come back! Suarez is not expired yet! When he is not injured and stays fit he will still be among the top 5 deadliest forwards. Even if we could not bring Lautaro this summer this will happen later.
