Man City moved five points clear as Raheem Sterling struck versus Bournemouth and Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan made scoring returns.
Match Events
Raheem Sterling again proved the scourge of Bournemouth as he helped Manchester City to a 3-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League leaders hit the front through Bernardo Silva's 16th-minute opener but an XI featuring five changes from Tuesday's 2-2 Champions League draw at Lyon did not have things their own way.
Callum Wilson found a deserved equaliser but Bournemouth were sunk by a familiar foe.
Sterling's 57th-minute goal was his eighth in six top-flight appearances against Eddie Howe's side and Ilkay Gundogan's simple finish 10 minutes from time meant an uneven outing ended with City extending their lead at the summit to five points.
16' GOAL! Man City 1-0 Bournemouth (Bernardo Silva)
That's the opener! There's a fair bit of space in behind in the wide left area, and City have exploited it again.
Zinchenko lofts a beauty over the top for Sane, and Begovic gets there first to flap it away.
But it's straight into the path of Silva, who does well to direct his shot through a crowd of players and into the net!
44' GOAL! Man City 1-1 Bournemouth (Wilson)
Bournemouth have been on top in the last 10, and have their goal!
They work it across the box as Lewis Cook finds Francis out wide right. He curls in a decent ball for Wilson, who has so much to do as he rises high.
He connects superbly with the header, back into the top right corner, as Ederson gets fingertips to it but not enough!
57' GOAL! Man City 2-1 Bournemouth (Sterling)
Sterling has his goal now, and City regain their lead!
Sterling starts the move, spreading out wide to Danilo, whose low shot is saved by Begovic, but not caught...
He should catch it, it rebounds out to Sterling via a deflection off Ake, and Sterling duly converts into the roof of the net from close range!
79'GOAL! Man City 3-1 Bournemouth (Gundogan)
That should be that! Sane takes a corner on the left, and it finds its way to David Silva on the edge of the box. He slips in Sane at the left byline brilliantly, and Sane looks up for blue shirts in the box...
He finds Gundogan with relative ease, and the midfielder slots home from six yards out! Easy, and City have their two-goal cushion.

Since the start of last season, Leroy Sane has provided more assists in the Premier League than any other player (20).
