Man Utd & PSG are the two potential landing spots if Ronaldo leaves Juve (Marca)

It is being reported in the Italian media that Cristiano Ronaldo may have to leave Juventus sooner than he intended due to the financial crisis that is looming for the Turin-based club due to the coronavirus pandemic.

If he does depart the club he joined in 2018, there aren't many options for him to find a new home.

According to Marca, realistically, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United stand out as the main potential landing spots.

They both have the financial resources to afford him and there are other factors going their way.

At Manchester United, Ronaldo remains an idol for what he achieved at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009.

At PSG, they have the money and have gone for star players in the past, although they would surely have to lose one of Neymar of Kylian Mbappe to be able to bring in the No.7.

In terms of the other giants of Europe, many can be essentially ruled out of such a race.

Real Madrid could afford Ronaldo, but they've already moved on from the Portuguese icon.

With Barcelona lacking the financial resources to pull off such a feat and with this surely proving too controversial, they can be ruled out too.

In Germany, Bayern Munich directors have explained in the past that they wouldn't sign a player so old.

Then in England, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea could potentially afford him, but City have the dark cloud of their European ban and Liverpool and Chelsea don't appear to be in the market for an ageing superstar like Ronaldo.

As such, that leaves PSG and Manchester United as the most logical option if the prognosis in the Italian media comes true and if Ronaldo is forced to look for a new home.
