Former Juventus defender Pasquale Bruno has launched an attack on current Bianconeri star Cristiano Ronaldo for not having learnt Italian nor adapted to the Italian way of life.
The 58-year-old, who is now a commentator on Italian television, believes that the effect of this is a form of disrespect from the Portuguese towards his teammates.
"He's ignorant," Bruno said on the Italian TV show Tiki Taka.
"He's been living in Italy now for two years and has yet to learn the language. He uses Spanish to express himself. He has no respect for his teammates or Italians in general."
During his playing days, Bruno got into altercations with the likes of Gheorghe Hagi, Marco van Basten and Roberto Baggio, and it seems that Cristiano is the latest person he wants to have as an enemy.
Bruno played for Juventus between 1987 and 1990 before moving on to the city's great rivals, Torino. He also played for Lecce, Como and Fiorentina, as well as Hearts in Scotland and Wigan in England.
Cristiano has fit in like the star he is in Italy, particularly on the pitch, but clearly not everyone in the country is a big fan of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
