John Terry may have come away from Stamford Bridge with a defeat on Wednesday night, but he certainly left an impression on Mateo Kovacic on his return to Chelsea.
The Aston Villa assistant saw his side beaten 2-1 by former team-mate Frank Lampard thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.
Afterwards he was offering his congratulations to the victorious Chelsea players, though midfielder Kovacic may not be rushing back for a handshake anytime soon.
Kovacic was left in agony as he was offered a firm high five by the Chelsea legend outside the tunnel on the touchline.
The camera caught the Croatian grimacing as Terry clasped hands with him before he walked sheepishly back to the dressing room.
Terry seemed to hear Kovacic's anguish and offered a conciliatory hand of apology after the full time whistle.

I think John Terry is so selfish and lack of respect to kovacic he should apologize to him to make it less painful
