Arsenal have revealed Danny Welbeck will leave the Gunners this summer following an on pitch announcement.
England international Welbeck is out of contract at the end of this season but no official memo had been made about his future.
But during a post-match presentation following Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Brighton it was revealed Welbeck will become a free agent this summer.
The PA announcer said: “His presence will be missed in the dressing room.”
Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech were also handed gongs on the Emirates pitch.
Welbeck has only managed 14 appearances for the Gunners in an injury plagued final season in north London.
The 28-year-old joined from Manchester United in a £16million move in 2014.

He was once a star at Arsenal but due to injuries he has been the shadow of his former self and it has been long I have seen him on the pitch, am shocked to see him leave arsenal at the end of the season, but maybe he will find a better club to reform himself, good luck welbeck.

It's funny cos I think a fit Welbeck is better than Aubameyang as a striker. Auba is a stat padding tap in merchant. No ratings at all and the stats tell a false story. Welbeck could at least hold the ball up and link up as well as find the net instead of miss ridiculous sitters. Also turned up at a lot of crucial moments for Arsenal, especially in games where they looked like they would lose..
